Transcript

(Stay Evil by Mountain Mirrors is playing quietly. The screen is black.)

Bree: (voiceover) After our big argument last week, (Bree is seen walking from behind.) Daniel wanted to go home and call the police, but I told him no. (Daniel is seen walking down an alley. A black car is parked behind him. A homeless man crosses his path.) We fought and fought and he finally decided to stay with me since I wouldn't budge. (A crow is seen near dumpsters.) I wish that we could go home, I wish that we could call the police, but we can't. (Bree is seen walking from behind again.) It's just that...The Order is everywhere. (The screen turns black. The camera shows Bree, who's walking.)

Bree: Daniel is walking.

Daniel: Warwalking.

(The camera shows Daniel, who is walking beside Bree, with his laptop.)

Bree: Right, "warwalking". He's trying to find an open internet connection. What a weird name!

Daniel: It's from the word "wardialing".

Bree: That...helps.

Daniel: It's like that Matthew Broderick movie. With the killer computer? He just kept dialing random numbers 'til he found a live number. He hacked in: "Wardialing".

Bree: Ahh. Kitty! (Bree points, a cat is seen. The camera shows the floor of a warehouse. There's a blanket on the floor, and P. Monkey is on top.) This...is where we're sleeping. We found an abandonded building and we sorta just...holed up here. I don't know what Daniel's plan is. We don't have any money and we had to get rid of the car. I still think that we should go to Jonas'. I really wanna find my p-parents but we can't do that if we're just trying to survive. We...we need a home. (The screen goes black. A blue symbol is painted on the ground.) There should be an open internet connection here because I think that's what the symbol means. (The camera turns up to Bree's head.) Of course, we could go to a website that has all the open Internet connections in the city, but we kinda have to be online for that first, so it's kind of a Catch-22--

Daniel: Damn it.

Bree: Don't worry Daniel, we'll find something.

Daniel: Whatever, Bree.

Bree: You don't have to be mean.

Daniel: If you'd listen to me--

(cut to Bree indoors, and against a wall.)

Bree: I know that I play with stuffed animals a lot, but, right now, it's the only thing that keeps me happy. What do you think, P. Monkey? Should we trust Jonas? (P. Monkey scratches his head.) I know, I'm stumped too. (Cut to Bree outside.) We've been dumpster diving. (We see the inside of a dumpster.) Here we have some chips in a bag... some Del Taco... (The camera shows Bree's head.) Some... crackers. (Cut to Bree standing near a wall. Daniel is leaning against it, further down the street.) Daniel doesn't want to talk to me right now. He's kinda mad that we're sleeping in a warehouse. He keeps going on about his warm bed and his job at Gas 'n Eats. He used to hate that job. I mean, I said to him that if we went and stayed with Jonas that we would have a warm bed and he wouldn't even need the job, but that kind of (Bree sighs) pissed him off. He said that we have no reason to trust Jonas, but...

Daniel: Got it! I'm online.

Bree: I don't think that-- (Bree looks back at Daniel) I don't really think that we have a choice. At least we can upload this now.
