Transcript

(Steve and Charlie are watching the surveillance footage from the internet café.)

Steve: Sorry I couldn't run off a proper copy.

Charlie: Oh, it's alright, it's going through okay on here. Thanks for bringing it over.

Steve: I just don't know what she's doing with her. I was convinced it was gonna be Clore. Did you try Patricia again?

Charlie: Yeah, but it just goes straight through to voicemail. If I hear another "Hi, this is Patricia Neilson" again, I'm gonna scream.

(The doorbell rings and Charlie sounds irritated as she gets up.)

Steve: Have I left enough room on?

Charlie: Hold this.

(Charlie hands the camera to Steve and goes to the door. Steve turns the camera back to the laptop and shows a close up of Patricia in the video as Charlie opens the door in the background.)

Tariq: That bloody woman.

Steve: Oh, no...

Tariq: You know where she is, Charlie? You might as well tell me, I've seen it.

(Tariq and Charlie come in. Tariq sees Steve and looks at Charlie accusingly.)

Tariq: Great! Earl Spencer's making videos now is it?

Charlie: Hey, Tariq, please-

Steve: Hey, now, now, come on.

Charlie: HEY! (Pulls Tariq back.)

Tariq: He's here to do something useful, isn't he?

Charlie: TARIQ! Tariq!

Steve: Hey!

Charlie: Tariq, just leave it.

Steve: Calm down, huh?

Charlie: Just back off.

Steve: I'm onto it. What have you been doing?

(Tariq walks over to the couch.)

Tariq: Flipping reporter. I couldn't avoid her the other weekend.

Charlie: Well, none of us can get hold of her now. Guys, this is stupid; look at you! Murder? You couldn't! Either of you! I know you didn't do it. Look, we've got to work together on this one. We've got to stick together. There's so much ground to cover. Can you please put your boys back in your pants and just call it a truce?

Tariq: (Looks irritated at Steve.) Is it back in?

Steve: (Pans the camera down to his pants.) Yeah... Truce?

Tariq: Truce.

• Tariq's Earl Spencer remark is sarcastic allusion to Steve's speech in Kate's Memorial Service. Earl Spencer was Princess Diana's brother, and gave a fitting eulogy at her funeral.
