Yes! It could very well be an illusion, the type where if you look at it one way it's one picture, and if you look at it another way it's another picture.

I think you're on to something. We need to google something like "people, vase, illusion". If it really is an illusion, than someone created it.

But I'm using the wrong word, it's not illusion, what do they call this?

How about this?

http://www.psychologie.tu-dresden.de/i1/kaw/diverses%20Material/www.illusionworks.com/html/figure_ground.html

I'm still looking though...

EDIT - Somewhat "troutish", although my pic is a little different than the prior one, and there's background in my link.

2nd EDIT - One point, there are a million webpages with this exact same illusion, therefore it's a classic. BUT, none of these have the whitish piece that sits on top of the vase. Therefore, she's taken a classic illusion and added to it. One page that shows this illusion calls it two men about ready to kiss. My bet is, and I'm guessing it's really a man and a woman, that the whitish is a baby as someone had already mentioned. Within the whitish area, you see what looks like a line drawn that could be the outline of a head. Thoughts?

3rd EDIT - All the web pages on this particular illusion talk about this being a classic test of right versus left brain. It seems that, depending on which side of your brain is more predominant determines the way in which you see this picture. I doubt that this plays into. I think she just borrowed this illusion to prove a point, such as a couple with a baby.

I "want" to believe it's a vase from the new picture, but the only reason I cannot is because it is the same shape as an odd religious symbol or figurine I saw while researching another area of the Cassie stuff. I remember thinking "Why would they make the end the shape of a penis?" (in my mind I used a different word than penis). I have tried retracing my steps, looking through my history, and can't find it again...or yet.

Well, call me crazy, I can see a person - probably a man - who carries something (heavy?) on his head, I can see his face... My problem with the vase-theory: the "object" is not symmetrically, so if these were the elbows of someone that wouldn't matter, would it. But for a vase?!

Check out this link. They state that this is a CHALICE or a vase. Someone before had said it want' a chalice and looks more like a vase, yet this site feels that it could be either. If this is true, then this fits with our "theme".

You keep posting that, but I don't see a picture on that site to prove it. Am I missing it?

I'm seeing the vase, too... but in terms of allusion, it may still be a picture of a "woman"...
It's a classic literary trope and metaphor that a woman is like a vase, or a vessel. This is because: 1) they possess a womb to hold and bear children and 2) they take a man's "seed" (trying to be genteel here) and are able to pass on his bloodline as if "carrying" it in the form of a child.
Reference to the ceremony perhaps? Bree will just be a vessel and the "two faces" will orchestrate the ceremony?
Just some thoughts.

Hey guys. Don't know if this will help or not, but I played around with this pic a bit in Picasa, and below please find the results. Not sure if we can mine anything from them, but at least they are artsy! Razz FYI: I'm working on the assumption that this is a vase of some sort.

Here's the original for comparison...

Here's the picture with "fill light" @ 100%. Note the large green splotch in the middle. Might be something going on there, or Picasa sucks. You be the judge...

Here's the picture with both "shadow" and "highlights" set at 100%. Definately something going on at the bottom. Also, note the edges--old picture of something?

And finally, here's the "face" near the top with the colors tweaked a bit to bring out the detail. To me the face looks Asian, rather than being a baby. Something Chinese or Japanese , perhaps? I did a Google search for "chinese vase" and "japanese vase" and found a lot of similar looking faces on the vases. That rhymed....

Feel free to upload them to Photoshop for further review. Picasa doesnt have a zoom feature. Hope my giant, picture loaded post is kosher.

Godspeed...

Oops, forgot to upload this pic of the bottom of the picture with the tinting altered to accentuate the detail...
