The Martyr's Mirror is an Anabaptist text. It describes the fate of Anabaptist martyrs. (The Anabaptists, this includes Mennonites and The Amish, were persecuted by the Catholic church, for believing in baptism at adolescence. They were sort of like Christian radicals at the time)

Thanks for finding out about Geleyn Cornelius.

I think this picture is supposed to correspond to WHY, so a religious killing seems appropriate. But is she killed for her religion as part of a ritual, or killed because someone doesn't agree with her religion?!

Ummm... sorry in advance for posting this here but I couldn't find any mention of it anywhere else in the forum and this is one HARD forum to follow as clues change and advance everyday. So, anyway, I found this: http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/9260/4jb3.jpg

Has anyone decyphered it yet? Could someone please direct me to where's the discussion about this pic going on? ^_^

just sifted through the entire 'religious' section of the National Gallery of Art. The chalice wasn't in there. Sad
I'm gonna go to dinner, I'll look more later. Just wanted to post so noone wasted their time looking there.

so Cassie provided us with an upside down picture of Geleijn Cornelus's feet.

so who exactly IS Geleijn Cornelus? (also spelled Geleyn)

....

The dominant Catholic Church found these things wrong with their practices:
1. they didn't baptize their children
2. they didn't believe that Christ "had His flesh and blood from Mary"
3. they regarded themselves as the "flock and elect of god"

....

he was:
1. stripped naked
2. hung by his right thumb
3. weight attached to his left foot
4. burned under his arm with a candle

Mad Blueeerghhh ...

Makes me soooo proud to be a Dutchman and being baptized
as Roman Catholic...NOT!

okay....this could be completely unrelated, but we're looking for a painting...
The new MsKelly333 video mentions that the song that played in the old vids was "Suicide Sonata" by "hochschild magritte"....

...There is an award winning author named Adam Hochschild [still living] and Rene Magritte is the name of a surrealist philosophical artist [primarily a painter] who lived from 1898 - 1967... I was unable to find any composers by the name of "hochschild magritte" or "magritte hochschild", or any compositions entitled "Suicide Sonata".

I know that as far as we know, both Ms. Kelly and CiW are "fanfic", but since anything pretty much goes, I figured it would be worth a shot to see if that applies here...after all...we're the ones creating this universe...and ruling out potential clues based on what forum they're posted in makes us more of a "house divided" than anything...

...or maybe I just need to get more sleep. haha

The blue arms in the cup painting make me think of the Indian blue skinned gods...I'm looking, but man...if only I knew more than some Indian gods had blue skin, lol.

Magritte certainly would fit the bill with his "This is not a pipe" echoing "This is not a game"...

But I can't seem to find any painting by him that has a hand holding a chalice in it.

The blue skin makes me think of Hindu gods too. However the chalice (or cup) kind of looks Western.

Perhaps the hand is gloved?

And perhaps it's a really obscure painting and we're not really supposed to find out which painting it is until the next drop?

I think that the title Suicide Sonata came from a post in the forum joking about how bad it is. The french text "ceci n'est pas une pipe " is a painting by Magritte.

Or, just possibly, - jetblack - that's not the painting.
