It'd be a good idea to have that option kept open if Flauta isn't able to catch the drop. We don't know how much she may have to go over things with a "fine toothed comb."

It would be a good idea for someone to be there with Flauta, but none are available. We all sincerely thank Flautapantera for her courage on this matter!
Aside from that, is there really an "operator" needed. If we are racing The Order to get these drops, doesn't that just add to the urgency of getting to the drop? |

I just thought it would be nice to have someone on the phone with Flauta giving us updates in real-time. And to give Flauta moral support. And if something should happen to her, could notify the police or something. |

Well, I'm sitting at home today. All I have to do is go to the bank (5 minutes down the road) and then I'll be home working. If you all decide she needs an Operator, let me know. I'm more then willing... |

um...if she's already gone to class, how exactly are we supposed to get in touch with her and let her know who her Operator is?

Look's like Flauta's left for class by now -- do you guys know if she will check in with someone on the forums sometime today? If so we need to PM her with someone's cell # so she can call when she leaves to retrieve the drop.
Also I just want to edit this to make a rant that this drop seems way more unorganized than the last drop, and it's most likely due to the fact that we have strained resources for drop retrievers this time, and I'm sure it will all go just fine but we probably won't hear about anything until much later. Boo for drops in locations that dedicated retrievers can't get to!
Until then, maybe we can look forward to another of Maddison's videos later today?

that seems logical to me. i'd certainly look at all the band posters and whatnot in the windows 1st. _________________ “Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can!” |

Logical is never a word used to describe me or my thoughts/theories.

Could someone please let us know what the operator's real part is in the drop? To keep the forum posted while the drop is being picked up? To help maintain a clear mind?
Since there is no one to go to the drop with Flauta, I'm beginning to think that an operator may be needed...
I will have to be at work at the time Flauta says she would be able to get to the 'drop zone'. It's good to see the other offers. I guess Flauta can just pick and choose which of us she would as her operator...
PS: Flauta said she'd check in after class/before leaving for the site, didn't she?

I consider a good operator to be on the phone and giving updates of the retriever's progress in real-time by reporting to those in the chat. Those in the chat with the operator could then update the forum. The operator can also relay advice on places to look from those in the chat, if the retriever can't immediately find the drop. |
