Well, I held an index card up to the computer screen and outlined the paragraphs. If I had a scanner I'd show it, but when the paragraphs are outlined, they look kinda like guns. Maybe it means that the Order is armed, or was prepared to kill them if they didn't leave? _________________ --<3,

Ah, thank you Chelseyrl.
If we're going to talk about the number of words in each line: All the lines have an even amount of words except for two, which are "trust Daniel" and "superconductivity." They have 13 and 11 words respectively. If we're going to link that to the periodic table, those are Aluminum and Sodium. Bah, I can't see the connection. |

The periodic table thing is a great find and definitely worth investigating further. Good thing I paid attention in science class! |
Has anyone tried using the note as an overlay on a periodic table to see if anything pops out? It could be that Bree's dad put a blank paper over the periodic table, marked something on the elements that would spell out his message, and filled in the rest.
In other words, it looks similar to a Cardan Grille: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardan_grille - using the periodic table as a second step.
Someone good with a graphics program want to try this and see ig anything jumps out? |

No, don't worry about it! I really was grasping at straws there - I just threw the idea out there. _________________ --<3,

It's a good idea, but we'd have to have the same periodic table Bree's dad used. They all have the same information, but the format can vary widely. |

alright since i'm apparently the only crazy person up right now...with probably the least amount of experience doing this.
I counted the number of words in each line before the periods:
6
10
11 7
4 9
6 4 ->
2
3 5 4
7 2 1 1
2
so if we're going with the codes A=1 B=2
F
J
KG
DI
FK
B
CED
GBAA
doesn't look right
so just couting the words in each line with out periods:
we've got F, J, R, M, J, B, L, K
soooo i'm stumped see if you all can come up with something else |

I think maybe deagol needs to get back in here. He seems to be a flippin' genius at this stuff.
ETA: Umm, I could be wrong on this, and it probably isn't of any importance, but it seems the way the letters lean, Bree's father was a right handed person. Just a little thing I thought I'd put out there. Correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ Curfuffle thy forumite.

I'm pretty sure your right; I think I read somewhere that right handed people slope to the right, but I and everyone I know who're right handed slope to the left unless they're writing cursive, and sometimes even then. _________________ --<3,

I'm left handed, and I slope to the right. If it helps at all. :] _________________ I don't like Bree anymore.
