Ms. Divine: Colin's form of Asperger's Syndrome caused him to distrust others and to be unable to find a socially appropriate way to express that. His actions are definitely an exception, rather than a rule, to most forms of AS. Most people with AS are not dangerous at all to others, and Colin may not have understood the impact his action would have upon the school or his life. He was not bipolar, but only a frustrated young man who could find no way out of his personal hell. May he rest in peace.
