It was the same way with Daniel, actually, after he kissed her. Maybe there's something on Bree's lips that temporarily makes guys so euphoric that they become full of themselves and act like jerks . Nice surprise at the very end, though. But remember, Bree's still not completely herself, no matter what Jonas thinks. I think it's time the rest of the TAAG finds a deprogrammer (if they're able to retrieve Bree, that is).

While I doubt that this was a ploy, it's been emphasized more than enough that the Order does watch the videos. Heck, one particular development in the plot required it (Bree telling Lucy to e-mail her about a location to trade herself for Daniel).

The actors typically don't do the recording themselves. The crew just does a fairly good job of making it look like they do. Kevin Schlanser is the cameraman.
