I ended up making calzones last night. I tried making a different dough since I kept having explosion problems. Mmmm, lovely French baguette dough recipe and it worked out wonderfully! Soft, yet a bit crusty and strong enough to hold the bubbly filling. Gah, why can't I cook everything as well as I bake? _________________

There are reasons I'm so good at baking sweets and making candies.
I ended up frying up some gizzards (hey, what can I say...somebody has to eat them...and on the cusp of the south it's a common food). Didn't hit the spot...so I just went to sleep.
Tonight I'm going to the store...I don't know what I'm making...maybe some calzones. I make tasty calzones. |
From Virginia, southeastern VA. Gizzards are awesome! If you don't know what Texas Pete is your gizzards will never be completely complete, sorry! There's a place that has a mixed combo called Pollard's. Liver and Gizzards mixed, 2 puffs (sweet puffy rolls), and honey. L&G doused in Texas Pete + puffs dipped in honey=happy holidays for your mouth! Fried food = soul food, to me. _________________ I am the ROBOT'S legs.

And why not, young man?
As for me, steak sandwiches tonight with au jus. We've been snacking all day (Sunday is football food day), so something nice and simple is fine. |

Although thats not the only reason. Dont really know why.
And football food rocks. I'm a total sucker for a plate of hot wings or some nachos. |

Mmm, we did hot wings and potato skins. And as of now, my boyfriend (Cowboys fan) is dancing around the room like an idiot.
Edit: Boxing? You and Jonas gonna fight? |

Hah, well, I would. I loved boxing. I had to quit though. Got hit to many times in the wrong places. But I took a year off, and I'm ready to put the gloves on.
Haha..yeah. Good game for the Cowboys. Gramatica did a pretty decent impersonation of Adam Vinatieri |

Not to turn the thread into total football, but you had to laugh at the irony of a week after Vanderjagt is let go a fierce rivalry game comes down to the kicker. At one point he was litterally biting his nails. Oh, snap, you like that? I totally brought the thread on topic again. He had his nails for dinner!
Awesome on the boxing though! Good for you for getting back into it---just be careful! [/mom] |

I waaaas going to make tacos last night...but without my knowledge the word was sent out for a cookout at our house. Seems people knew about it since Thursday. News to me. So...I had a house full of unwanted people and they brought food for our grill that didn't have enough charcoal to cook. Yay me. I love when people bring over food that I have to cook, especially when I know nothing about it....AND just finished cleaning my kitchen. Yay! So a bunch of crap I didn't eat. I had potato salad. Not. Happy. Here. _________________
