Who controls LGpedia?
LGpedia is a wiki and hence communtiy based. However, there are instances when the Creators of LG15 have certain override privileges. They may insist that a particular template or feature appears on a given page, such as production credits appearing on the video blog pages. They may also insist upon the creation of specific pages to serve specific purposes such is the case with the The Story So Far... article. Most people are familiar with the open structure of wikipedia, however this is not always the case in wikis. Rather some wikis choose to have a much stronger level of editorial control.
Who owns what you contribute to LGpedia
The rise of world wide web has given rises to many new quesetions that have not been completely resolved in the courts. Wikis such a Wikipedi use All the GNU Free Documentation License. However, it has not been stated what polices are in effect for LGpedia. It is possible that some right may remain with the original author, the web site owner or the Creators (if they are different from the web site owner. The videos themself do contain some kind of copyprotection when downloaded from Revver however there is not clear copyright notice making it possible that the videos released to date are public domain and free for others to use in their creative efforts. If the videos are infact copyrighted then it would mean that use or modification by other YouTubers etc would be illegal since it would be hard to justify under the fair use doctrine. The situation is much less clear with screen shots which use a much more limited amount of the source content. Many fan sits used screen shots for source matertial and to date this issues has not been challenged in the courts so we do no have any legal guidelines as to whether or not a screen shot is legal or illegal. The situation would be somewhat simpler if infact the LG15 is owned entirely by the Creators but this has not been publically stated. It should also be noted that the legality of certain issues will vary from countny to country.
