Thewinekone is a popular YouTube user. In Bree's first video blog, First Blog / Dorkiness Prevails (whose title is a reference to a thewinekone's video "Hotness Prevails / Worst Video Ever") Bree who was jokingly described by Bree as retarded Clips of thewinekone were used in her video, YouTubers Secret Language.
On Sept. 14, thewinekone posted a video analysis of lonelygirl15, where he said that he was also a fake and ought to be cast on her show. He pointed out that it was politically incorrect for Bree to call him retarded. Advocates for the mentally disabled consider it offensive to use the term "retarded" to apply to people who are silly or behaving stupidly, however it is frequently used this way colloquially. Bree also uses the word when in reference to her second vidoe "Purple Monkey."
