LGPedia:Reverting vandalism
From LGPedia
If you see any vandalism on the LGpedia, we'd really appreciate your assistance in getting rid of it - you don't need to wait for an administrator to fix it. Follow this simple procedure to revert vandalism quickly:
- Click on the "History" tab at the top of the article.
- Click on the time and date of the last good version of the article.
- Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page.
- You'll get a warning saying you are editing an out-of-date version. This is what you're supposed to see.
- Enter a brief reason for the revert in the edit summary at the bottom of the page, such as "rv vandalism".
- Click "Save page".
That will get rid of the vandalism.
If you like, you can also warn the user who vandalised the article by using the following procedure:
- Click on the "History" tab at the top of the article.
- Click on the word talk beside the name or IP number of the editor which vandalized the article.
- You will either see an edit box or an existing talk page; if a talk page already exists, click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page.
- Place the vandal template on the talk page by typing this and saving the page:
- {{vandal}} ~~~~
That's it. If the user is repeatedly vandalising the LGpedia, you can leave a message on the administrator's talk page.
