The two become close, and Daniel expresses [[The Perfect Beach|jealousy over the mention of Alex's ex.]] Even when Alex is once-and-for-all exposed as part of the Order, Daniel tries to comfort her and protect her when Jonas pulls out a gun.

Kate and Tariq
At the beginning of the KateModern storyline, Kate is dating Tariq. The two seem happy until Kate tells him that her name really isn't Kate. Kate then has some memory loss and seeks the help of Steve. Tariq is uneased by the connection of Steve and Kate, and when he finds out that Steve is in the Hymn of One he becomes angry. Tariq then confronts and hits Steve, then storms off. In more recent videos he wants to be left alone to think over what he has done.
