The characters in KateModern, particularly Kate and Charlie seem to, at times, have trouble difficulties expressing themselves vocally. Instead, they use simple sketches and animation to provide insight into their emotions.

- Awful Video -- Hand-drawn images of a male stick figure holding birds is shown.
- Ninja Sangas (A Charlie Animation) -- Ninja Charlie makes sangas.
- Once Upon a Time -- Charlie animates the story of Kate and her friends over the past few weeks.
