Transcript
(Lee adjusts the camera. Tariq nudges him to move aside.)
Tariq: Get back.
Gavin: Today's another very important day for G&T IT. We're about ready to shoot our corporate video, which is going to launch our new software. A genius invention that's going to make me and him rich, rich I tell you! Beyond our wildest dreams! (Tariq and Gavin high five. Lee zooms the camera in on the product.) Hey, what are you doing? Keep it on me!
Lee: Can't I get a shot of the screen?
Tariq: No! Only our clients are allowed to see this. Lee, you'll ruin everything!
Gavin: Are you deliberately trying to be stupid? This is our top secret weapon! You can't show it to everyone out there or every boff in his bedroom will be having a go.
Lee: Gee, I just thought...
Gavin: Well, don't think. You're not paid to think! Just keep it on me!
Tariq: He's not paid at all. (They laugh.)
Gavin: Oh yeah, "Free Lee." (They laugh harder.) Right, let's get one thing straight, let's make this very clear. You don't show the product to anyone under any circumstances, ever. Alright? Now, we may let you shoot the corporate video, we may let you edit the corporate video, if and only if you A) (Gavin holds up a finger) empty the bin.
(Camera pans down to the garbage, which reveals one wrapper inside of it.)
Lee: I've done it.
(Tariq picks up the single wrapper and makes a face at Lee.)
Tariq: What about Gavin's stains on the toilet rim? (Gavin holds up a second finger.)
Lee: I did them first thing.
Gavin: Okay, then C) clean the chewing gum off the lamp.
Tariq: Oh yeah. (laughs)
Lee: Oy, that took me two and a half hours! Wasn't I supposed to get media training, not skivvying!
Gavin: Listen, Sunny Jim, you're in a very privileged position. You're getting to witness everything that's happening behind the scenes.
Lee: What exactly is happening? From what I can see, you two don't seem to be doing anything.
Gavin: I'll tell you what we're doing! This software is going to revolutionize the way businesses are run. Once you get this, you're going to be able to... (Tariq touches Gavin's arm. Gavin cuts off.) Yeah, you know. Anyways, lunch time. So...
Tariq: Yeah, it's lunch time. Lee, I'm starving. Will you run down to the sandwich place?
Gavin: (takes a drink of his coffee) Mmm. No, I think today Tariq, my friend, we should have an executive lunch.
Lee: Of what?
Gavin: Well, I would like to start with a salad nicoise. Please. Write this down, will you?
Lee: I'll remember it.
Tariq: Get me a crayfish and rocket panini with mayonnaise.
Gavin: Yes, and chips.
Tariq: And uh, want proper knives and forks. No plastic.
Gavin: Well, go on then. We've got a lot of work to do today.
Lee: Alright, alright.
Gavin: Get going.
(Lee leaves the room and gives the two a "look.")
Gavin: What was all that about? His attitude stinks.
Tariq: Um, make sure you turn that thing off.
Gavin: Yeah, alright.
