Transcript

(Gavin and Lee are in the office. Lee is in the background, doing work.)

Gavin: It's time for, uh, your suggestions for "Subservient Lee." Basically, you guys e-mailed to let us know what you wanted... me to make him do, and uh... I've got some of your suggestions. (Lee glances up dubiously) Some of them are... interesting, some of them a... little but simple, but we'll do what we can. (reads the screen) B. Serious (glances at camera) "B. Serious," uh, said, "pick your nose and sing Old McDonald wile hopping on one foot in circles." (pats Lee on back)

Lee: I don't want to do it...

Gavin: Come on! (pushes table away from wall)

Lee: (whines) Gav...

Gavin: Shut up.

(Cuts to Lee carrying out B. Serious's request)

Lee: (singing) Old MacDonald had a farm, (Gavin, off-camera, joins in) ee aye ee aye oh...

Gavin: Keep going!

Lee and Gavin: Old MacDonald had a farm...

(Lee stops, and looks down, on the verge of tears. Gavin rolls in his chair into the frame, giving the camera a double thumbs-up.)

Gavin: (laughing while singing) Ee aye ee aye oh!!

(Cuts to Gavin pulling the table back, and Lee banging his head against the door.)

Gavin: This is gonna be more fun than I thought... (cuts to a moment later, Gavin reading the screen) Thomas Henderson said, "Do Michael Jackson's Moonwalk !!"

(Cuts to Lee, attempting to moonwalk. He does a half-hearted spin, crotch-grab, and "ow!" as well. Cuts to Gavin and Lee humming and doing The Macerena Dance. Cuts to Gavin at his computer screen.)

Gavin: Jules said, "Tell him to sing a westlife song."

Lee: I don't know any Westlife songs... (Gavin starts to sing to demonstrate) I only like M. C. Hammer...

Gavin: (singing and snapping in rhytnm) You still turn me on, you can make me whole again... (looks at Lee) Is that it?

(Cuts back briefly to The Macarena Dance. Then cuts to an angled shot of Lee.)

Lee: (singing) It was an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini...

(Cuts to Lee imitating a monkey. He mimes picking a nit from his head and eating it.)

Gavin: (laughs) It's... (looks at camera) It's fairly good, actually! (Lee's impression gets more frantic, and he starts to swing at Gavin) Hey! Hey, hey!! (cuts to reading the screen again) Doesn'T Matter said, "how about kick gavin's ass!"

Lee: (excited) Eeg-- I could do that really--!

Gavin: (discouragingly) Mm, I don't think... (cuts to reading the screen again) Garry Munro said, "why not get lee"... (looks back at Lee briefly) "why not get lee to be a test dummy for tariq and gavin to try out some wrestling moves on him e.g. sharpshooter or may be a (stumbles a bit) 'super kick'"?

(Gavin looks at the screen eagerly. Cuts to Lee standing uncomfortably as Gavin walks into the frame, in a "fighting stance.")

Gavin: What is it they do? They go... (fake punches Lee twice and stomps for sound effect)

Lee: (reacting appropriately) Ow...

Gavin: (giving thumbs-up to the camera) Right!

(Cuts to Gavin holding Lee over his shoulders, "smashing" Lee's head into the pile of blue boxes in the corner.)

Lee: (screaming and crying) Aahh!! I'm gonna be sick! I'm gonna be sick!!

(Cuts to later again, Gavin facing camera.)

Gavin: As per Darren's request, Lee has something that he'd like to announce to Tariq and the whole world.

(Cuts to Lee standing, wearing a pink skirt over his pants.)

Lee: (quietly) I love you, Tariq.

(Gavin laughs off-camera. Cuts to Gavin in front of the camera again.)

Gavin: (to Lee) Do you want to go and get us some sandwiches, then? (points to skirt) Keep that on, though.

(Lee looks at Gavin, incredulously. Cuts to Lee leaving, in the skirt, giving Gavin one last, hard look.)

Gavin: Go on. (Lee closes the door. Gavin laughs quietly) What a great day! (slams his hand down and continues to laugh)

Notes

  • "Subservient Lee" is most likely a reference to Subservient Chicken, a site that was created as part of a viral marketing campaign for Burger King. It is also reminiscent of Greg Gallows's "Make Me Your Bitch" request, to which Daniel had responded the day before. Like Daniel's video, this episode heavily features "shouting out" to fans.
  • Westlife is an Irish boy band. However, the song Gavin sings is not by Westlife; it is Whole Again by Atomic Kitten.
  • The unnamed song that Lee sings is, in fact, called Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, first released by Bryan Hyland in 1960.
  • Greg Goodfried cites this as his favorite KateModern video. [2]
