Transcript

(Charlie is leaning over a bowl with a blue towel over her head, coughing.)

Charlie: (mumbling into the bowl) Oh, I'm ill. (she looks up) I said I'm still ill. I know a lot of you are concerned about Kate so I thought I'd keep you updated. Gav sent me a message and he's coming around. (doorbell rings) Here comes the cavalry.

(Charlie walks to the door and unlocks it.)

Charlie: What took you so long? (she opens the door to see that it is Steve) What are you doing here?

Steve: I was, uh, updating my Bebo page yesterday and I saw your video.

Charlie: And?

Steve: And I thought I'd make you some soup. (He takes a box of soup out of his bag and offers it to her.) Don't worry. It's not poisoned or anything. It's just good old-fashioned home cooked... cooking. Can I come in, please? I want to talk.

Charlie: Well, I...

Steve: Please?

(Charlie lets him in. Cut to the kitchen, where she is setting up the camera.)

Steve: Since you came to see me at the Hymn of One meeting the other day I can't seem to get Kate off my mind. (Charlie sneezes loudly.) I've realized I have to help you find out where Kate's gone. And prove to all (points at camera) those people that this has got nothing to do with the Hymn of One.

Charlie: (rolling her eyes) Do they teach lessons on how to be in denial at the Hymn of One?

Steve: Do you know I resent that? Where do you get your slanderous accusations from anyway? A couple of men like Dudley and Griffin? They bring semi-automatic weapons into art exhibits. (brings soup over)

Charlie: Thanks.

Steve: Wait, wait, wait. (rummages in kitchen and brings a pepper grinder to Charlie) Pepper?

Charlie: Thank you.

Steve: So, what I'm trying to say is, I want to help you find out where Kate's gone.

Tariq: (walks in) The door was open. Gav's come down with your illness and he wanted me to bring you this. (hands Charlie an unopened can of soup)

Charlie: Thank you.

Steve: So anyway I was just leaving,

Tariq: Yeah, me too. I can't stop. I gotta get back to the office.

Steve: (shaking hands with Tariq then leaving) See ya then.

Tariq: See ya. (looks at Charlie) Have you heard anything from Kate?

Charlie: No.

Tariq: Oh, you'll let me know if you do, yeah?

Charlie: Yeah. You're sure Julia won't mind though?

Tariq: Don't be silly Charlie. I need to know if she's all right. (gives Charlie some tissue then leaves) There you go.

(Charlie shakes head and turns off camera.)
