Under the duress of Jonas's gun, Alex made the comment that Bree was no longer needed for the ceremony, because the Order had "another girl!" (The Perfect Beach, April 13, 2007). Although she could have been bluffing, it seemed quite possible that the Order had given up on Bree completing the Ceremony. This meant, however, that The Order was looking for (or perhaps had already found) a new girl to take Bree's place.
When Nikki Bower made a video discussing possible replacement girls, it sparked a great deal of speculation on the forum about the identity of the "New Girl". Soon after, a "Video Challenge" was issued, and many fans produced their own "New Girl" videos. Later, when callmejules24 and soccerstar were revealed to be canon characters, the fan videos continued.

The Chosen Flock
The Chosen Flock is composed of a group of "Ceremony Girls" (Horrorlass, Lostgrl17, Betz281, Aaalondra, TwinklyDiamonds, CynnamonDolce, Grainofsandra, and A114one) whose stories have become intertwined. The first episode of the series served as a calling card for People to make videos claiming to be the New Ceremony Girl taking Bree's place.

Chrysplanet a.k.a. Chrysandra was one of the potential New Girls possibly chosen to do the Ceremony in Bree's place. She later revealed that she had found out she had been rejected for the ceremony, though it is not clear yet why. She recently deleted all of her pages.
Emilyoats
Emilyoats a.k.a. Emily was one of the potential New Girls possibly chosen to do the Ceremony in Bree's place. She's an only child, and is lonely, but finds solace in her faith.
Flowersinmyhat
Flowersonmyhat a.k.a. Allison was one of the potential New Girls possibly chosen to do the Ceremony in Bree's place. Allison has a normal life until her mother takes her out of school, because of its unreligious qualities. It is also worthy to note that in the comments for Doctor's Orders, she reveals that she lives in Wickenberg, AZ.
She mentions someone named Penguin in her videos Laryngitis and Contacts and Calculators. She is most likely referring to the user LimePeng1 who has posted several video responses to her.
Hymnofone
Hymnofone a.k.a. Cassandra was one of the potential New Girls possibly chosen to do the Ceremony in Bree's place. She is kept under lock and key by the Order, and was assigned to kill a girl named Brianna in order to go through with the ceremony, but was let off the hook when Bree willingly did the ceremony. Later on, she pleads to Bree for help, and attempts to escape, though it remains unclear if she was successful or not.
LOSTchild17
LOSTchild17 a.k.a. Lizzy was one of the potential New Girls possibly chosen to do the Ceremony in Bree's place. Her parents are deeply involved with the Order and Hymn of One, and as a result her home is a firestorm of Order activity.
