Dr. Immant: The following message is intended for distribution to all mass media outlets.

My name is Dr. Thomas Immant and I am the Minister of Information for the Order and I’m responsible for releasing statements and handling all pubic inquiries. I have a prepared statement to read and I’d like to close with a few personal comments.

Today the Order announces a new policy for dealing with the public in an effort to combat misinformation. Obviously there are those out there who would go to extreme measures to find out anything they can about the Order, unfortunately this leads to misinformation. To that end, it’s been recently decided that at this point in the Order’s history that it is time to pull back the curtain a little. There are certain aspects of the Order that will always be secret such as certain teachings and practices. There is no ominous reason for this but it is important for us to protect our member’s privacy. Based on a religious structure the Order connects a network of people across the globe. In closing, it is our hope that this new policy will satisfy the public interest as well as enlighten the world of our noble works.

Without getting too much into inter-Order politics I’d like to add that this new policy, while a victory for the reformists within the Order, was narrowly passed. Misinformation leads to speculation and the last thing we want is people to think we worship aliens or something equally outlandish.

Please continue to send all press inquiries to me and I’ll address them as best as I can.

I’m sure many of you will dismiss me as nothing more than a spin-doctor. This is to be expected after so many years of secrecy. Moving forward I can only hope that I earn your trust, thank you.

Are we out? (Immant grabs an orange slurpee) Mmm…orange.

Notes

  • We learn that Dr. Immant's first name is Thomas and that he is the Minister of Information and will address the public on behalf of the Order.
  • He has a more public friendly appearance different than the shadowy figure we've seen previously.
  • Briefly touches on inter-Order politics and infers a rift between reformists(those who don't want the public to believe the negative portrayal of the Order based on speculation) and traditionalists (those who would keep the Orders secrets above all else.)
  • Claims not to be a spin doctor and asks for the opportunity to earn the public trust before finally drinking an Orange slurpee.
