Transcript

Charlie: I think I might have been a bit out of order before. (Sighs.) Flying off the handle at Gav like that? Thanks to my friends online for making me see sense. (Sighs.) Apparently he said he was going to the pub. And knowing Gav, which I do, he'll be in here. I just hope he's not too drunk yet.

(Charlie pans the camera to show the sign to The Light.)

(Sighs.) Now to find him.

(Charlie starts inside, but then looks over to the tables outside. She zooms in to find Gavin sitting alone, typing on his laptop.)

Oh... God, he's only drinking orange juice; he must be really upset. (Charlie approaches Gavin.) Gav?

(Gavin slams his laptop shut.)

Gavin: Oh, here we go. Look, Charlie, I'm not really in the mood for another slagging off, so why don't you just leave?

(Charlie puts the camera down on the table and sits down next to Gavin.)

Charlie: No, I'm not here to have a go at you.

Gavin: Yeah?

Charlie: I came here to say sorry. I shouldn't have flown off the handle at you before; it was really out of line.

Gavin: (Smiles.) Well, don't worry about it. I- I know how you're feeling. I was only upset before because... (Sighs and smiles.) It doesn't matter.

Charlie: No, go on.

Gavin: Well, I- I wanted to talk to you before because I was- I was gonna try and... (Sighs.) win you back. See? I knew I shouldn't have said anything.

Charlie: No, no, you should have. I've still got feelings for you, too, you know.

Gavin: Yeah?

Charlie: (Smiles.) You know, you're really special to me. It's- Gav, it's just the timing. It's just really crazy, and I-

Gavin: Yeah, I know-I know-I know. The-the timing- The timing's shocking; I know that, but I- I dunno, maybe, uh, when all this is- is finished, maybe we could talk about it then? Maybe?

Charlie: Yeah, I think we could.

Gavin: Really? (Grins.)

Charlie: Yeah, really.

Gavin: (Turns to the camera.) See, you heard that, right? Now if she changes her mind, you're my evidence. Okay?

Terrence: Charlie!

Charlie: What the h-? (Gavin grabs the camera as they both stand up. Terrence comes over.) What?

Terrence: Charlie, you've got to help me.

Charlie: Help you, are you serious? What the hell have you done with Lauren?

Terrence: Well, that's why I'm here. Look, I thought I was doing the right thing. Well, Steve said it was the only way, a-and I believed him, but-

Gavin: What are you talking about?

Terrence: Look, h-he's gone wrong. Steve, I mean. He's the kidnapper.

Charlie: No. No-no-no. Slow down. What are you trying to say?

Terrence: I caught him making a video trying to frame me as the kidnapper; that was his plan all along. Well, he said I killed her in some weird blood-slaughtering experiment. I can't believe I was so stupid! It's been him all this time!

Charlie: Are you sure?

Terrence: I'm not sure about anything anymore, but I know he's not right. Look, you've got to help me, and Lauren, while she's still alive.

Charlie: W-

Terrence: Come on. Please! (Runs toward the street.)

Gavin: What- What now?

Charlie: Well, don't just- Don't just stand there, we've got to follow him. Come on, Gav.

(Gavin turns the camera on himself.)

Gavin: Yeah, I was afraid you'd say that. (Grabs his laptop and runs after Charlie.)
