Okay, so the original idea behind this template was to use it on Template:Blog to organize the videos by date. (I suppose it could be extended to include other non-canon videos to get an overall timeline of when things happened... just a thought.) But before I changed one of the most used templates on the pedia, I figured I'd ask others what they thought about doing that. Of course, all the old videos would have to be updated to use this template, but I'm pretty sure LGBot could do that without too much trouble. I'm still a little unsure if the "cat" parameter is really the best way to do the categorization, especially because "|cat=Videos by date" (or something similar) would need to be included on every video page. If this template is only used on video pages, the categorization could be made automatic. So, do people think this is a good idea to add to the video template, could it be used somewhere else perhaps, or is it there really no good use for it at all? Thanks!--Jonpro 00:51, 26 February 2008 (CST)

:So, I removed the category parameter and added it to a couple videos to makes sure it's working. I'll go ahead and have LGBot convert the rest of the video pages to use this template tonight if there are no objections.--Jonpro 17:20, 3 March 2008 (CST)

Use on video pages

So, I removed the category parameter and added it to a couple videos to makes sure it's working. I'll go ahead and have LGBot convert the rest of the video pages to use this template tonight if there are no objections.--Jonpro 17:20, 3 March 2008 (CST)
