What The Hell?! is the eighty-seventh webisode in the KateModern video series.

(Gavin is lying in bed with his laptop on his lap, coughing.)

Gavin: I've got flu. (sniffs) I've been in bed for days. (points at the camera) But Charlie, Tariq and Steve...I saw your videos man. What...(coughs repeatedly.)

(Gavin gets a black marker and some paper and writes messages, which he then holds up to the camera. The 1st one says: "Charlie, Tariq, Steve". The 2nd paper says: "What the HELL?!". The 3rd paper is a drawing of a van. Gavin has written black van beneath it. The 4th paper is a drawing of a laptop. The 5th paper says: "Take them back!!!!" The 6th paper has an exclamation point drawn on it. The 7th paper says: "Tariq, come home!" The 8th paper says: "I need you!" The 9th paper says: "(not in a gay way.)" The 10th paper says: "We owe loads of money!")

Gavin: Tariq... if Kate wanted to be here... if Kate wanted to be here, she would be. Just come home. Go home to Julia. She's (coughs), she's sane. And she loves you (coughs) Anyway... (Gavin holds papers in front of the camera again. The 1st paper is a drawing of a girl stick figure Charlie. The 2nd paper says: "Charlie, come home" with the same girl stick figure and a house. An arrow is pointing towards the house. The 3rd paper is a drawing of two stick figures, called Gavin and Charlie and a house. The 4th paper has five hearts drawn on it. Gavin puts the papers down, smiles and blows a kiss into the camera. Then he coughs again and turns the camera off.)

  • This is Gavin's first appearance on screen since A Quiet Night Out
  • Gavin's use of hand-written placards is reminiscent of Bob Dylan's music video for his 1965 single Subterranean Homesick Blues.
