Daniel: I don't know what Jonas plans to do. He won't say anything to me but I know it's gonna be rough. And don't get me wrong, I want Carl gone as much as anyone but (to Jonas) we're not murderers. Right? (Turns camera to Jonas)
Jonas: We'll see. (Jonas opens the door to Carl's room and sits down in front of Carl) Well, Carl today's the big day. (taps gun a few times) 'Cause I'm out of patience. But I do gotta say though, I'm kind of excited.
Carl: Look, why don't you guys just let me go? Jonas, you're not gonna kill me.
Jonas: No. Nope, that's where you're wrong, Carl. I am gonna kill you.
Daniel: Carl, just tell us what we wanna know. Anything. Come on man, we don't wanna kill you.
Jonas: Yes we do. I do. See I had a... an epiphany. Do you know what an epiphany is Carl? See, if he's not gonna talk, then he's worthless to us. (holds gun up to Carl's face)
Daniel: Jonas... Carl, listen. This is your last chance. Just give us something about Carruthers.
Carl: Okay. Carruthers financed the Salinas Campaign through Sacred Spirit. (looks at the camera, then at Jonas)
Jonas: Yeah. And?
Carl: And it was millions. Carruthers is behind everything.
Jonas: Keep going.
Carl: And the plan was for Salinas to run for congress then governor then... Look, who knows what. Look, nothing happens without Carruthers. Look, now that Porter's gone he's in charge.
Jonas: I'm sorry Carl. That just... (loads gun) That just wasn't good enough. Do you got anything else?
Carl: I don't know anything else. I met him for the first time last week.
Daniel: And Gina?
Carl: Gina's gone, Daniel. Salinas took the body. All right, you guys don't understand. The Order promised me everything I ever wanted and all I had to do was just... whatever they asked. I-I'm sorry, I didn't know what they were gonna do. I promise. (louder) I promise, you guys.
(Jonas cocks his gun)
Daniel: Jonas, can I talk to you for a second?
Jonas: (standing up) Tell you what, Carl. We'll be right back. (taps gun) Don't go anywhere.
(Jonas and Daniel walk out of room.)
Jonas: This is bullshit.
Daniel: Why's it bullshit?
Jonas: Because he's not some stooge that was set-up.
Daniel: What if he is, huh? We can't kill him.
Jonas: He knew there was a contract on us and he knew where we were. He might as well pull the trigger himself. (pulls gun out of his pocket) I'm settling this. (cut to Jonas standing next to Carl) Why don't you give me a reason not to kill you, Carl?
Carl: (leans head back) Okay. (swallows) I know that you keep Bree's little purple puppet in a box under your bed.
Jonas: (looks shocked, but quickly recovers) That's not true.
Carl: (chuckles) Jonas, Jonas, Jonas, Jonas. Don't be so naive. Okay, I should have never mentioned anything about Carruthers. You know, what I realize now is someone's gonna kill me. Now whether it's you or them, it doesn't matter.
