Bucking Broncos - NBR Investigates is the nineteenth video in the Nikki Bower video series.
Transcript
Nikki: Howdy, y'all! It's me, Nikki B. You might not recognize me. That's because I'm sleuthin', cowboy style. So, I'm on a little roadtrip. That's right, I'm on the trail of BDJ, and I just crossed the border into Texas. Yee-hi-hoo! So, it's high noon, and I'm here at this here... saloon to get me some nourishment so I can carry on on my travels. Let's go inside and see what they have to eat. Mmh.
(Nikki goes into the saloon and sits at a booth.)
Nikki: (whispering) It's quiet in here. Maybe, maybe this place is... is being watched by the Order, the Hymn of One. It's very quiet.
(Nikki is back outside.)
Nikki: Mmh, mmh, mmh. That's was some good pulled pork sandwich. (licks her fingers) Mmh, mmh, it was delicious. Absolutely delicious. Texas, you got some good food. Check! Decided to take a little break in the shade and reflect for a moment. So, BDJ, they're on their way to Texas, but why? Why, why, why? They're trying to find this Taylor girl, right? This soccerstar? And then they're gonna try to track down Jules. Thank you very much. Hmm, now while I'm in Texas I'm wondering if I can get to a rodeo. That's really my deep passion, deep down inside, to ride a buckin' bronco. Now, Jonas, I was thinking maybe you could come to the rodeo with me. Cause I always wanted to have a partner to buck broncos with. Or if not that maybe we could grab a beer. But Daniel you can't come because, you know, you don't do that anymore. Unless you're gonna get, you know, the non-alcoholic ??, which, who does that anyway?
(Cut to Nikki in front of some cacti.)
Nikki: So although I don't have too much to investigate today, I was thinking about y'all and I just wanted to give you a little update, you know about my travels, here in the desert. In Texas, (phonetically) Tejas. Do do have cactuses everywhere, that is true. That is true. (Nikki touches a cactus behind her) Ow. (She touches another one) Ow, no for reals, that hurt.
(Cut to Nikki somewhere else.)
Nikki: It's a little windy out here in Texas. There's like a lot of sand and dust blowing my way. But it's a good thing I brought my 'kerchief. Hmm, it goes like this and it blocks the wind. (Nikki puts her handkerchief over her face)
(Cut to Nikki talking to a statue of an animal.)
Nikki: Have you seen, uh, maybe Bree or Daniel or Jonas--nice horns, he's got some nice horns. You just stay put. I'll report back to you, see what I find. (in a sing-song voice) Just relaxin' in the Texas sun. (Nikki spits) I think you spit when you're in Texas.
(Cut to Nikki in front of a tree with her head lowered.)
Nikki: (raising her head) Oh, I was taking a little siesta here, before I got back on the road. But I just wanted to like, get some things straight. First off, Jules, we now know definitely has, uh, strict parents, definitely is homeschooled. These parents definitely have strict beliefs, and this week on her MySpace page, she posted a quote from Aleister Crowley. That seems a little bit suspicious. Now, I don't know, but this Taylor girl, maybe she's a ploy. Is it possible she's there to throw you off, Bree? Is it possible she's there as, you know, part of the Order. I'm just sayin'. It's happened before, so have your wits about you.
(Cut to Nikki in front of some plants.)
Nikki: Well, it's time for me to get back on the road and (sniffs) follow the scent of that BDJ. Follow that dust. I know I didn't investigate too much today, guys, but I'm on it. I'll have a lot of juicy tid-bits for you when I get back. And as I leave you, I want to leave you with one thought. Remember the Alamo. Remember. God bless. This is Nikki B., signing off.
(Screen goes black then Nikki appears again.)
Nikki: I just wanted to take a moment for Maddison Atkins. Rest in peace, little one, rest in peace. Amen.
