(footage of the Rue B's sign)
Mike: We wanted to tape at Rue B's but, eh, you tell 'em.
Marla: (with Josh talking in the background) It's just dark. It's dark and small and-
Josh: There's a bunch of bearded weirdos in there man. I don't like that scene.
Marla: Yeah.
Mike: Feels like poetry and like clapping with- by snaps.
Marla: Yeah and music.
Mike: It's pretty gay.
Josh: Way too trendy.
Marla: Oh god only posh people. Ridiculous. Anyway, we're going to go somewhere else. (fade to black. Relights to Marla, Mike, and Josh sitting at a table.) You guys are way to awesome for me tonight and I really appreciate it.
Mike: No problem.
Marla: I just, you know I don't really have many friends right now and I really need to talk about some stuff. I just... I don't know what to do with myself right now, you know. I have nowhere to go, I'm not living anywhere, I don't really have a home. I don't know if I'm going to finish my degree or how I'm going to work. You know how hard it is not to have a bed to sleep in of your own? I don't want to be in Seattle, because as much as I love Andrew, it's just too rainy, and he and I just don't have time for each other right now. I don't want to be in Canada, because it's far too cold and my mom and I just don't get along too well. I feel like for some reason I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in a really long time.
Mike: What? Have you been having nightmares or anything?
Marla: No, but I am thinking about Clara all the time and she's been having nightmares every night. I'm really... I'm really worried. I can't really explain why.
Mike: (To Josh) Has she bothered you too in the last week or something?
Josh: Not even. Just a few days ago. She was all over the place.
Marla: I know. I know.
Josh: She seemed, she seemed good. She sounded like she was alright.
Marla: I know it seems like that but there's just something that really bugs me about the whole thing. I'm really worried about her.
Mike: She seemed fine though...
Marla: Just call it women's intuition. (The three exchange glances). I just feel like I don't have anywhere to go, you know.
Mike: I had an idea. How about Nacogdoches?
Marla: What about Nacogdoches?
Mike: It's warm: you don't like the cold, you don't like the rain. (mumbles something about Canada). It's warm, Clara's there and you're worried about her.
Marla: Yeah... No, this is crazy. I don't know the first thing about getting an apartment in Texas or...
Josh: There's nothing you need to know. You just go craigslist or whatever, the whole frickin' internet out there, I mean, you could be set up and ready to go in a week. At most.
Marla: I dunno. (shrugs).
