Prom: It's To Die For - Part 3 is the four-hundred ninety-fifth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the eighty-fifth video of season three.

Transcript

Jennie: I saw Daniel’s and Emma’s posts, and I’m really scared. I hope they’re okay. I wanted to get in touch with them sooner but I think I’m being followed. Look, I have an idea about a safe place to meet. But, in case I am being followed I don't want to be too explicit, okay? Meet me at the following location: The arms of Zephyrus reach out. Moving the Cardinal towards Magellan's footsteps. The Sound of Music evaporates underneath the uneven condition where Agnes stood. (turns to look at the street behind her) Once you make sense of that, send a message to Daniel and Emma at lg15.com. (turns again as a bus passes by) Please, tell them to meet me there. Right now, I'm gonna upload my footage of prom. You guys need to see what happened.

(Cut to the cabin. The camera shoots from above and slowly comes down as Emma and Gina dance. Gina is eating a lollipop and takes it out of her mouth as she beings to speak to the camera.)

Gina: This is officially the best prom I've ever been to!

Jennie: (giggles and turns the camera on herself) I know, it's totally worth it just to see Jonas in those tight pants. (turns the camera and focuses on Jonas's behind) He is so HOT! (giggles)

Emma: (off-camera) Ahem! (Daniel gestures towards the camera and Jonas turns around) AHEM! (Camera turns back on Emma) Excuse me! Little sister. (Gestures with two fingers as to say, "I'm watching you.")

Jennie: Oh, right... (Emma and Jennie laugh.) Sorry!

(Camera turns away from Emma and focuses towards the porch outside, where Carl is absorbed in his phone, waving off Sarah, who is trying to get his attention.)

Jennie: Oh, whoa. Those two look like they're lacking some prom spirit. (Camera focuses on the cell phone in Carl's hands.)

Gina: Seriously! Party poopers.

(Camera zooms out to show Sarah sitting down to wait for Carl.)

Jennie: Wow.

(Cut to Jennie approaching Carl with the camera. Sarah is still sitting behind him, and Carl looks up quickly and looks down as Jennie speaks.)

Jennie: Okay! All right you two, when're you getting back on the dance floor?

(Sarah stands up and walks toward the camera, annoyed.)

Carl: (laughs distractedly, still preoccupied with his cell phone) Oh, just as soon... as I finish up sending this e-mail...

(Camera turns to Sarah, who looks at the camera, irritated. The camera turns back to Carl as he finishes up.)

Carl: There. Done! What do you say, you ready to cut a rug?

(Carl nudges Sarah with his elbow as Jennie laughs. Sarah simply looks at him and looks down as Carl's cell phone starts ringing. Sarah sighs.)

Carl: It's...

Sarah: Just go, just go, go!

Carl: It's just...

Sarah: Just go!

Carl: Ha--hang on, I...

(Carl walks away to pick up his phone as Sarah makes an exasperated gesture.)

Sarah: Ugh. You know, I don't get it. I try and do something nice for him, bring him up here, and he's acting... just totally... ugh. (Sips from her drink after stuggling to find words.)

Jennie: Um... like, weird and sort of disinterested--

Sarah: Actually, I was gonna go with dumb and distant, but-- sure. Why not? Yeah.

(Sarah walks off-camera. The camera turns to where Carl has started talking on the phone at the end of the porch.)

(Cut to back inside the cabin, where Gina and Sarah are slow dancing.)

Jennie: Aww, you two make a cute couple.

Emma: (laughs) Not as cute as you two. (Jennie laughs, and the camera turns, revealing Jonas.)

Jonas: Excuse me beautiful, but do you mind if I have this dance? (Cut to Jennie taking Jonas's hand.)

Jennie: Oh. (giggles)

Jonas: Here, let me take that. (Takes the camera and turns it on Jennie and himself.)

Jennie: Oh...

Jonas: Come on!

Jennie: Please, please don't film this.

Jonas: What? Listen, it's just-- this filming's important to me, I just want to capture it, that's all.

Jennie: Well it's our moment, and I don't want to share it with anyone else. Okay?

(Jonas looks at the camera.)

Jonas: Errrgggh-- all right. (Jennie giggles.)

(The camera is lowered as a cell phone starts ringing.)

Emma: Jennie! Jennie, your phone's ringing.

(The shot fades into another shot of the room. Sarah and Daniel are dancing together. The camera shows Daniel's hand drifting down Sarah's back.)

Sarah: Oh-ho! (grabs Daniel's hand and holds it up as Daniel feigns innocence.)

Daniel: Wha-- I-- what?

Sarah: Cheeky monkey! (turns around and continues dancing against Daniel.)

Jennie: (laughing) Wow, smooth, real smooth.

Daniel: Whatevs!

(Camera turns around to briefly shoot Emma and Gina dancing until Jonas blocks them from view and approaches Daniel.)

Jonas: Hey. Hey, where's Carl?

Daniel: He's in the bathroom, man, why?

Jonas: (turns around briefly) Come out on the porch with me, I gotta show you guys something.

Sarah: What?

Jennie: Jonas, what is it?

(The group follows Jonas out on to the porch. As they approach him, he begins speaking again.)

Jonas: I-- I knew it man, I knew we couldn't trust this guy!

Emma: Hey, guys! (Camera turns, showing that Emma is now on the porch, putting her camera down.) What is going on, huh?

Jonas: I'll tell you what's going on. I was outside, and I saw Carl and his phone, all right, in his car, and he looked all freaked out. So when he finished, I went into his car and looked around. His glove compartment was locked, so I unlocked it.

Sarah: Why would you do that?

Jonas: Look, I didn't want him here in the first place, all right, but I held my tongue, and that's my fault, but we definitely can't trust him. (holds out a white card)

Sarah: (grabs the card) Oh what, for having a parking pass?

Jonas: No, that's not just a parking pass, Sarah, that's a swipe key to the Hymn of One center!

Sarah: Yeah, and it's probably from when he used to work there.

Jonas: Really? Check the date on the sticker, it's from last week, okay, he's still going there. (Sarah looks at the camera, lost for words.) He's still Hymn of One! (grabs the swipe key) And he's gonna explain this, and he's gonna explain it now.

(Jonas storms into the cabin. Cut to Gina and Carl, who are sitting on the couch. Carl gets up as Jonas approaches.)

Jonas: (holding up the swipe key) You! Y-- can you explain this, huh?

Gina: Hey--

Jonas: Can you explain this? (shoves Carl roughly)

Gina: Whoa, whoa, whoa! (One of the girls yells, "Jonas!")

Jonas: You wanna try?

Gina: What is going on?

(The girls cry out as Jonas and Carl tackle each other. Jonas tackles Carl to the ground as one of the girls, again, yells, "JONAS!")

Gina: What're you doing?!

(Cut to the same room. Daniel passes by, and Gina is still sitting on the couch. Jonas is crouching over Carl, who appears to be unconscious on the floor. One of the girls, Jennie or Emma, says, "Oh my God.")

Jonas: Get some rope!

Gina: What is going on?

Jonas: Get some rope!

(The camera is set on the ground. Suddenly, the camera goes black. Screams and something that sounds like a laser is heard. Glass can be heard shattering. One of the girls screams, "How could this happen?!" The camera comes back on. The room is smokier looking than before. Jonas is crouched down over an arm.)

Jonas: I don't feel a pulse.

(Someone screams, "Jonas, are you okay?" A loud thud is heard, followed by glass shattering. The camera shakes.)

Jonas: Run. Everybody run!

(Again, someone screams, "Everybody run, come on, leave!" The camera is pushed to the right as Emma runs past it. Jonas and Emma's legs can be seen running out of the room. The music continues as the room is still for a moment. Part of the arm and another camera lie on the floor. After a moment, someone in loose jeans comes onscreen from the right and walks to the left, out of the camera's view. Another pair of legs, this time in black pants and black heels, walks on-camera and off-camera in the same direction. An arm is shown grabbing the other camera from the floor.)

Notes

• An arm can be seen reaching down to pick up a camera towards the end of the footage. This has been identified as Carl's arm, proving he was working against TAAG.

Puzzle

In this video, Jennie releases a puzzle to clue TAAG in to her location.
"The arms of Zephyrus reach out. Moving the Cardinal towards Magellan's footsteps. The Sound of Music evaporates underneath the uneven condition where Agnes stood"

Solution

"The arms of Zephyrus" - Zephyrus was the God of the west wind, indicating that TAAG should head west
"Moving the Cardinal" - Cardinals are high ranking members of the Catholic Church, leading us to think about Catholicism
"Towards Magellan's footsteps" - Ferdinand Magellan attempted to sail the Pacific Ocean, leading TAAG to the Pacific
"The Sound of Music" - The Sound of Music is movie about nuns, leading us to think about nuns
"Evaporates underneath the uneven condition" - Evaporation = water; Uneven condition = rocky beach
"Where Agnes stood" - Agnes is the given name of Mother Teresa (which is connected to the clues about Catholicism and nuns), who was a champion of poverty.

This information led us to the beach upon which Jennie filmed her It's The Doing That Matters video.
