In several of the Hymn of One advertising videos, codes appeared, signed by an unknown informant who went by the initials "TCC." Several theories were asserted by fans for the origin of the messages, some thought they originated from Bree herself, but in the video Mission Possible, Aunt [Alex]] was revealed to be the one who planted the messages.
Origin
Fans began to notice certain patterns in the Hymn of One videos and speculated that these were actually codes. On the forum, Taylor and other fans theorized that the TCC at the end of the messages was a sign-off, possibly someone's initials or the name of an organization. In Mission Possible, Alex revealed that "TCC" stood for "The clarion call." A clarion call can be either a powerful request for action or an irresistible mandate.
The Messages & Signatures
The TCC messages were embedded in five different Hymn of One videos, Sing With Me, Be Part of Something, [[FOLLOW YOUR HAPPINESS], Look Back, and Sing Until the End. In the first video, the first letter of every sentence in the video spelled "HELP HER FRIDAY TCC." The second video continued that message by adding "BENEATH THE BLUESTONE." Daniel, Jonas, and Sarah were able to locate and rescue Bree as a result of the message in [[Getting Her Back].
After Bree returned to the Hymn of One, the messages continued from TCC. In Follow Your Happiness, the message read "My hands are tied. She's being prepared. I'm sorry." The next message was in Look Back. It revealed a location and time as "Friday Early Low Tide Yacht Club Parents Slip," which referred to the boat slip where Jonas's parents docked their yacht. The yacht was missing and instead, Daniel and Sarah found a file with information on making a serum to change trait-positive girls to trait-negative.
The final message came in Sing Until the End. "Road Block. I am coming to you. Everyone must be careful. Order everywhere. Stop questions. Answers may be too difficult for you." This led the team to the location of the blood they needed to create more of the serum. Aunt Alex was there to lead Daniel to the safe where the blood was being held. She then confirmed that she was TCC.
Theories
Time Correction Coefficient:
- The Time Correction Coefficient has to do with calculating the handicap of a particular sailboat when racing. Boats of different sizes and weights will naturally sail at different speeds, so a handicap is used for some races so that each boat has the same chance at winning. Thread discussion here.
Topanga Canyon, California:
- Topanga Canyon has been featured in several videos, including The Ceremony video and Nikki Bower's LG15 in Topanga Canyon - NBR 1 and What I Found at Topanga Canyon - NBR 2.
T Cell Cloning:
- Users on the forum googled "Bluestone" and "TCC" together and found several papers written by Dr. J. A. Bluestone about T Cell Cloning. Thread discussion here.
Tachyon Can't Come:
- A popular joke interpretation involves Tachyon, a character from the recent ARG OpAPHID.
- This video brought the possibility that either Jonas's Aunt Alex or Beth (the reporter at the party) could be the mysterious TCC.
The Actual Meaning of TCC
The Clarion Call:
- It was confirmed in Mission Possible that TCC means "The Clarion Call" and the mysterious TCC is actually Alex. The meaning of "The Clarion Call" and how it connects to the story is currently unknown - although when Daniel asked her, Alex suggested he ask Sarah.
