Tez on Toast is the two-hundred seventy-ninth webisode in the KateModern video series. It is also the one-hundred twenty-fourth video of season two.

Transcript

(The Russell family is seen walking through a parking lot toward a park. Maxine carries Cody. Dave turns the camera on himself.)

Dave: How can you tell if this is on?

Maxine: Dave, are you sure this is a good idea?

Dave: Yeah, yeah. It's all right, don't worry. It's just a passing drizzle.

Maxine: It's not picnic weather.

Dave: It's fine. Look, the kids are loving it.

Maxine: Well, I'm not.

(The sound of a car door closing is heard in the background. Cut to the family walking in the park.)

Dave: Let's head up over here. (Points.)

Maxine: You sure it's not too muddy? We should have put their boots on!

Dave: Look at Molly; she's loving it.

(Dave pans to Molly kicking around a football, carrying an umbrella.)

Dave: Having a good time, Molly?

Molly: Yeah!

(Cut to Molly kicking the football toward a bench.)

Dave: Here we go. Let's go on the park bench. We can have our picnic here.

Maxine: The park bench? Having a laugh, aren't you? Picnic here?

(Cut to Maxine looking annoyed as she eats a crisp.)

Dave: Here, Cody. Want a go? Yeah, you can be the next Steven Spielberg.

Molly: (Grabbing the camera.) Let me have a go!

Maxine: Careful, Molly.

Molly: Daddy, can I play with this?

Dave: Go easy with it, Molly.

(Cut to Molly kicking around the football, carrying the camera. She kicks the football to a tree, where Terrence is waiting.)

Terrence: Whoa-ho-ho! Careful, there, trouble. (Takes the camera from Molly.) Oh, look at this snazzy, jazzy camera, eh? Now what would your name be? Huh?

Maxine: Excuse me. Excuse me! (Terrence looks up to find Maxine approaching.) What do you think you're doing?

Terrence: Don't worry, madam, it's nothing to worry about. I was just wondering if--

(Terrence hits Maxine over the head with a bottle. She screams and falls to the ground. Terrence laughs as Molly screams.)

Dave: Mags! Hey!

(Cut to Dave running over.)

Terrence: Oh, hello. (Finds a stick on the ground.) That'll do nicely.

Dave: Oi!

(Terrence picks up the stick and lobs it at Dave. He runs away, laughing. Cut to Terrence standing beneath a tree..)

Terrence: It's only me. (Laughs.)

(Terrence continues to run until he finds another tree. Cut to Terrence standing beneath it, his shirt covered in blood.)

Terrence: Well, anybody in my position would be a bit pissed off. Getting fitted up with something they got nothing to do with. It's a bit of a pain, but I know who's responsible, and I'm gonna deal with them. I'm gonna enjoy it. 'Cause when I catch up with 'em, it's gonna be a bit, uh, it's gonna be a bit worse than a flesh wound.

And it was very wrong trying to tease me with the temptation of more Shadow drugs. It's something we're going to have to talk about and work out that detail alone.

(Laughs.) Well, I'm, uh, sorry I haven't been around for a bit. Well, I thought I should leave it; you know, after what happened with Kate. Do you think I left it long enough? Does, uh... does anyone remember? Does anyone care? (Laughs.) Oh, come on, she was annoying cow, though, wasn't she? All those arty-farty videos. Hey, my videos are gonna be much better.

Hello, Stevey. How's your Network coming along? I've joined. You know, I- I like the look of some of those members. Gavin! Oh, I guess you can't watch this where you are, can you? And I'm really sorry I didn't make it to the wedding, Jools. I'll have to find a way to make it up to you both somehow.
