Transcript
(Jonas enters the frame, kicks off his sandals, and washes his car angrily.)
Jonas: So, yeah. Those people in the video on Friday... Hehehe. Those are my parents. And I bet-I bet-I know what y'all are thinking: that I'm going to go out and get 'em. Well, let me save you the suspense; not gonna happen.
(Clip of Jonas continuing to wash his car angrily.)
Jonas: They've been out there and they've been alive for six years. Living some, hehe, fairy tale life. Well, I thought that they were- Well, I thought that they were dead. You know how that makes me feel? Screw you.
(Jonas walks away from the camera and continues washing his car. The video cuts to Jonas sitting in a different area.)
Jonas: And "The Resistance"... I mean, who the- who the hell are you? Who the hell are you?! Hmph, I trust you. No, I do. I- I trust you. 'Cause I think it's obvious everybody knows that all you need is a camera and some snappy editing and you can get anybody to believe you. Well, I don't. I don't buy it. Besides, I failed, remember?
(Cuts to Jonas walking with the camera.)
Jonas: There's no way I'm going back to them. No way. I'm just- Look, if they wanted to find me, then they could have found me. Who does that? Who just- Who disappears? Without a trace. I'm their son. (a dog barks in the distance) I'm their family.
(Places camera down. He picks up three apples in the distance.)
Jonas: Remember these, dad? We use to pick these in the afternoon. Do you remember? That was fun, huh?
(Jonas throws apples to the right of the camera.)
Jonas: Thanks for keeping in touch.
