- In this video we learn that Gavin's surname is Taylore and Tariq's is Bhartti.
- The name of Gavin and Tariq's project, 'the Orwell project' is a reference to author George Orwell who wrote the novel '1984.' In '1984', people were monitored through screens on the wall of every home and had no privacy. Gavin and Tariq's 'Orwell Project' is the first step towards the dystopia that George Orwell created.
- At 01:50 in the video, a brief clip from The Email with Daniel can be seen, another reference to LG15.
