We spent one entire day visiting in antique shops. I was so bored. I want to go outside exploring the city but instead I was stuck with nothing but my parents and old furniture. Then we came upon a shop that was set apart from all the others. It was run by this ancient old man. He looked like he was about one hundred and fifty years old. His back was bent over with time and had a hard life. He scared me at first, and I fled to the back of the store while my mom and dad were preoccupied with a large wardrobe. In the back of the store I came upon this curtain and I pulled it back to reveal shelves and more shelves of toys in all different states of repair. And all of the sudden the stooped over man was right next to me. I almost jumped right out of my skin. But then, he spoke and his voice was quiet and sweet. He had this magic way of putting me at ease. "I have just the thing for you," he said with a smile and he reached down to (''Cut to Bethany on the bottom shelf'') the lowest shelf and from what seemed like nowhere he pulled out this bear in an old night gown. He patted it on the head, gave it a little kiss, and held it out to me. Now that I had time to calm myself, my boyish rebelliousness <!-- 1:09 -->

Jerry (voiceover) (Drawings and Photographs appear onscreen.) When I was a kid, a lot younger than Anne now, my family took a trip to Amsterdam. We spent one entire day visiting in antique shops. I was so bored. I want to go outside exploring the city but instead I was stuck with nothing but my parents and old furniture. Then we came upon a shop that was set apart from all the others. It was run by this ancient old man. He looked like he was about one hundred and fifty years old. His back was bent over with time and had a hard life.
