(Daniel is sitting in his room.)
Daniel: Hey. Mal's in the shower right now, so I thought I'd come on here and let you all know how grateful I am to her for getting me back into the film program. And Professor DelMundo, he's actually been really encouraging. Although, he does think that... I should do something a little bit more personal with my work than... ninjas? But, really, what is more (pulls a katana partly out of its sheath) personal than ninjas, right? (puts katana down) Nah, seriously, though, he does think that I'm avoiding some real issues in my work by going all Action/Adventure, and obviously, that means he doesn't know... about my real life. I just, uh... I don't know, I get what he's saying. (a door closes, and Mallory walks into the background, in a towel) I'd like to do something a little bit more personal to me, I just... I don't know what that is right now. (Daniel turns around and sees her) Hey.
Mallory: Hey, have you, um, seen the batteries for the XL2?
Daniel: Uh... no, why, are you shootin' something?
Mallory: Yeah, with Amy, actually.
Daniel: What's the deal with her? You're always talking about her.
Mallory: She's so annoying. She just spends all her time flirting with Professor DelMundo.
Daniel: You mean, she doesn't know he's gay?
Mallory: Wha-- (laughs) You're kidding, right?
Daniel: He's gay! He's totally gay.
Mallory: No, he's not!
Daniel: Yeah, he is!
Mallory: Just because somebody doesn't sleep with everyone that looks at him doesn't make him gay.
Daniel: Uh, true, but... (looks at camera) he's gay.
Mallory: You're unbelievable. (she playfully hits him with a book and leaves)
Daniel: What? There's nothing wrong with that! I love gay people. (speaks to the camera again) I'm just sayin' that... (whispers) he's gay.
