Investigating Pins and Pints is the tenth video in the lonelygirl15 mini-series Nikki Bower Report.

Transcript

(Nikki is sitting in a parked car.)

Nikki: Hey guys, it's Nikki B. So, I have been on the case all morning. Yep, I've been driving around trying to find the bowling alley where Daniel got drunk and lost his fake ID. But, apparently, there's no "Pins and Pints" anywhere in the general vicinity of where they've been staying. So, I checked out a bowling alley called "Pins." Yep, I thought... that was it: "Pins." I thought maybe they just added the "Pints," you know, the locals, 'cause, you know, that's what they call it like a nickname: "Pins and Pints." So, I went to "Pins" bowling alley. But, apparently, there is no bar there. Nope, dry. I don't know how you bowl without having a drink or two.

(Cut to "Corbin Bowl" where Nikki is standing outside the entrance.)

Nikki: So here we are, at Corbin Bowl, another bowling alley at my list today. So we're gonna go inside and ask around and see if there's any clues that Daniel was here.

(Cut to Nikki walking into the bowling alley, which turns out to be completely empty.)

Nikki: (laughs softly) It's very crowded. I don't know if we can get a lane even if we try.

Man behind counter: Yes, can I help you?

Nikki: Hello. A friend of mine was here the last week and he left his ID, here.

Man behind counter: Okay.

Nikki: I'm wondering if anything was turned in. The name on it is Daniel. Last name is (Nikki looks unsure) Beast?

(Two men behind bowling counter mumble something about a man named Scott who had left his ID there)

Nikki: Who? Someone named Scott? No.

(Nikki holds up pictures of Daniel printed from previous videos he was in)

Nikki: I'm wondering if you've seen him. Can I show you a picture to see if he was here? I'm sorry for the quality, because I had to download these from the internet.

Man behind counter: I can't say that I remember... I can't say that I particularly remember this person.

Nikki: He might have been wearing something that looked like that (Nikki points to picture of Daniel in a boa). A big... flamboyant pink boa.

Man behind counter: No, then I haven't then.

(Nikki looks at the camera)

Nikki: No luck. Daniel, we'll get you my pretty. And your little pink boa too.

(Camera pans to sign that says "Sports Bar" then back down to Nikki)

Nikki: Let's see if there are any locals who are drinking this early in the morning. (to man behind bar) A friend of mine possibly left his ID here last week, do you have anything...

Man behind bar: I don't work here.

Nikki: You don't work here?

Man behind bar: Nope.

Nikki: You look like you do.

Man behind bar: I work for the beer company.

Nikki: Oooh, you work for the beer company. Can we get... any samples?

(Nikki is now sitting at the bar)

Nikki: Now it is early in the morning, that's why it's so dark in here. But this could actually be the place where Daniel actually came to get drunk.

(Nikki puts her downloaded pictures of Daniel in front of the man behind the bar)

Nikki: Now does he look familiar at all? Like someone you have seen come in here?

Man behind bar: (shakes head) No.

Nikki: No, not at all? Alright. I thought the big pink boa would give it away...

(Cut to Nikki walking in front of the bowling lanes. She approaches two men who are bowling.)

Nikki: You look like you frequent here often.

Bowling man: Um, three times a month maybe.

Nikki: Okay, well. (holds up pictures of Daniel) Have you seen this guy at all?

Bowling man: No. Good luck though.

Nikki: Thank you. Do you ever wear pink boas?

Bowling man: Boas? What's a boa? (Nikki points to picture of Daniel in the pink boa) No. (Nikki giggles)

(Musical montage of Nikki wandering in front of and playing the arcade games at the Bowling Alley)

Nikki: Anyone seen Daniel? Daniel Beast?

(Nikki is sitting at the bar again)

Nikki: I may not have found any clues, but I've made friends with the bartender. (holds up drink) I figure... when in Rome. Bottoms up. (she drinks the shot)

(Continues montage, this time with Nikki looking in a trash bin)

Nikki: Trash! It's trash!

(Montage continues with Nikki looking around outside of the Bowling Alley. She sees some hedges, an abandoned cup, and some locked doors, which she attempts to open. She approaches an opened Pepsi truck and picks up some papers from inside. She looks around nervously and quickly walks away. She then pans to a nearby Beauty Salon. She finally ends up back in her parked car.)

Nikki: Alright, so, no one's seen Daniel. No one left behind an ID. But I did meet some really nice people. Alright, I guess I'll see you next time guys, when I investigate -- where the heck's Gemma been?

Notes

  • This is the second episode (along with the previous one) in which Nikki employs a "man on the street" investigative style, reminiscent of Jay Leno's Jaywalking segment.
  • The Bowling Alley that Nikki visits is Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, a little over 400 miles away from the nearest bowling alley listed in OpAphid's video Lose Something?
  • At the end of the musical montage, Nikki passes a place called Lucy's Beauty Salon. The phone number for the business is 881-6206. The sign on the window says "19616. Hair Cut. Hair & Wax."
  • This is the first time that alcohol is visually presented and consumed in conjunction with the LG15 series, officially or not.
