Description The past few days have been so horrible. Bree hasn't been talking much. We all went to the beach and she just cried and cried. I've been feeling cooped up so I've just been editing this video till I got all cross-eyed. Dunno. Hope you like it.

Bree’s Dad Is Dead is the one-hundred ninth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. This video is correctly called "Bree’s Dad Is Dead", with a punctuation apostrophe (right single quotation mark) instead of a typewriter apostrophe - it resides here for easier accessibility.

Transcript

There are no spoken words in this episode, only the music and occasional background noises, including at some points what sounds like a police radio or talk show clips.

The video starts with a montage of footage from a car driving along the coast, followed by footage of Bree walking on the beach, sitting and talking with Daniel, Jonas and Daniel watching Bree from a distance, a helicopter flying by, and ending with a shot of Bree lying down that fades into the words "In Memory of Bree's Dad" displayed on a black screen.

Notes

  • Many fans question how Bree knows for sure that her dad is dead, since they fled the scene.
  • They are driving down the Pacific Coast Highway and end up at Leo Carillo State Beach.
  • Two of the messages on the police scanner say "on one side there is.." and "three with the idea that..."
  • The video name shows up while viewing past episodes on YouTube, spoiling a major plot twist for first-time viewers.
  • It is strange that Bree's Dad isn't given a name - however, in The Mistress, we learn that his name is Drew Avery, a name that Nikki Bower gave him in Naming Bree's Dad due to viewer suggestions.
  • Miles Beckett cites this as his favorite lonelygirl15 video. He hadn't been very involved in the show for a while and enjoyed the chance to edit this video together. [1]
