Her Indoors is the two-hundred eighty-fifth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the twenty-ninth video of season two.

Transcript

(Lauren sets the camera on the dashboard of Charlie's car as Charlie drives)

Charlie: What a crock.

Lauren: Jules, I know I've done something really stupid and I know you're got a bit on your plate at the moment...

Charlie: (Interrupting) We don't think you wanna go away! It doesn't make any sense!

Lauren: We definitely saw that shadow.

Charlie: Yeah, Michelle Clore's butler.

(Cut to a black and white zoom of Julia's latest video where the shadow can be seen in the mirror)

Lauren: We just went around to yours but there was no answer so Charlie reckoned you were out at your Dad's but if you're not, can you just let us know?

Charlie: It's just up here.

(Charlie sighs and parks the car. Lauren grabs the camera and gets out of the car.)

Lauren: So we've come to sort things out, see what's happening for ourselves. None of this bull...

(Lauren turns around to see that Charlie is still at the car.)

Lauren: (To Charlie) You coming or what?

(Charlie is at the car on her phone. She starts walking toward Lauren.)

Charlie: (To Lauren) Yeah! No answer.

(The two continue to walk to the house. Cut to Charlie repeatedly ringing the doorbell.)

Lauren: What now?

Charlie: Let's go around the back.

(Charlie runs off quietly to the stone wall separating the street from the property. Cut to Lauren climbing over the wall.)

Lauren: Bloody Jules. Gonna have to get a new skirt now.

Charlie: Shh! (Whispering) Take this.

(Lauren takes the camera and Charlie climbs over the wall. Cut to Charlie in the back garden walking to the house while Lauren films. They walk up to an open window where they hear Julia talking. Lauren films Jules from outside the window.)

Julia: Yeah, I've heard it read to me.

Michelle's shadow: (Holding a copy of Finding the One) Gotta read it for yourself. You need to read it for yourself. (Sits down on the bed next to Julia) Everything's in this book. Where there's dark, there's light. When you need direction, it gives you the path. This book saved my life. (Sighs) I'd probably still be in jail now. Or dead. You need to read this.

Julia: Yeah, I get it.

(Rupert storms angrily into the room)

Rupert: Where are you? (Julia hops up from the bed. Rupert walks in and throws his briefcase onto the bed.) You know why I'm out there tryna maintain some kind of normality? (Takes off his tie) I am out there trying to maintain some kind of momentum for my work! (Rupert turns around and grabs a bottle of liquor from a table and pours himself a drink) And what do you two do? Hm? Oh yeah! You're sitting around here on your fat asses! That's right. (Takes a sip of his drink)

Julia: Honey...

Rupert: Yeah, after all the damage you've caused. Great. (Throws back drink and grimaces) (To the shadow) And you? (Chuckles) You do not go on camera! Oh, what? (Walks up to the shadow) What? They don't train that anymore? You want me to get the manual? I can spoon feed it to you. How bout that? You like that?

Julia: Honey, I don't think it's gonna be a problem.

Rupert: God knows how many people saw that, okay?

Julia: Well, I couldn't take it back down. I'd look odd.

Rupert: Oh, right, cause it's not like I don't already have a bunch of intruders poking their noses into every single aspect of my business every day! You know what? We got too much going on right now. It's too risky. We're changing our travel plans. Oy! (Snaps at the shadow)

Julia: Well, can we just... can we just wait til my dad gets back?

Rupert: No! We go tonight.

Julia: You said we can (CAN'T UNDERSTAND HER)

Rupert: (Interrupting) I don't care what I said! There's no choice now! We don't have a choice, okay?

Julia: Well, I need to see my dad.

Rupert: Need? (Walks over to Julia threateningly) Need? (Grabs Julia violently) You need... nothing!

(Rupert's cell phone starts to ring. He moves away from Julia to answer it.)

Rupert: Rupert Van Helden? John, how you doing? Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, look, we got a couple of options. I mean, if you want to go for the two hours consultation session then, uh, we got a few things we can do. (Pulls a cigarette out of his jacket) Mhm. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, we can either do a, uh... Q&A session or a pre-scheduled event. It's fine. (The shadow lights the cigarette) Okay. Well, uh, get Sydney to give me a fax and I'll get my people to do it, and uh... Yeah if you wanna go for the full session on Sunday...

(Lauren turns the camera to Charlie, who looks scared)

Charlie: Let's get outta here. Come on.

(Charlie and Lauren run out of the back garden. Cut to Lauren climbing on the dumpster to get over the stone wall.)

Lauren: Let's go.

(Lauren walks away from the house but stops when she gets to the corner)

Lauren: Oh shit!

(The camera takes a sneak around and the shadow is seen outside the house)

Lauren: He's seen the car!

(The shadow looks at Charlie's car and walks over a bit closer to it. Charlie keeps whispering for Lauren to wait. The shadow turns around and Charlie hides behind the wall. She sneaks the camera back around slowly and the shadow is seen looking at the car and running inside, presumably to tell Rupert that Charlie might be there.)

Charlie: Now!

(Charlie and Lauren run toward the car. Lauren runs ahead of Charlie)

Charlie: Quick!

Lauren: (CAN'T UNDERSTAND HER)

Charlie: We can't just leave her in there!

Lauren: Are you kidding? That's Michelle Clore's shadow! If we go anywhere near him he's going to kill us!

(Lauren gets in the car and Charlie runs around to the driver's seat. Lauren takes the camera)

Lauren: We've gotta get this to someone!

Charlie: Well, who are we gonna take it to?

Lauren: The police!
