Prom: It’s To Die For - Part 2 is the four-hundred ninety-fourth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the eighty-fourth video of season three. This video is correctly called "Prom: It’s To Die For - Part 2", with a punctuation apostrophe (right single quotation mark) instead of a typewriter apostrophe - it resides here for easier accessibility.
(The camera pans the room as music plays in the background. Gina is on a couch by herself, and Jennie and Jonas sit on another couch, laughing and holding a pink balloon.)
Jennie: (Laughing.) That's so disgusting!
(Jonas laughs. Emma pans to the kitchen to find Daniel dancing over, carrying three cups.)
Emma: Hey, nice dance moves!
Daniel: That's right.
(Daniel walks up behind Jonas and Jennie, lowering the drinks as Jonas lets go of the balloon.)
Jonas: My man!
Daniel: Take these.
Jonas: Thank you.
Jennie: Thank you!
Daniel: No problem.
Jonas and Jennie: Cheers!
(Jonas and Jennie touch their cups together. Jonas makes a "boop" sound and Jennie giggles. Emma follows Daniel as he walks to sit next to Gina, handing her the final cup.)
Daniel: One for... you.
Gina: Thank you.
Daniel: You're welcome.
Emma: Excuse me, where's one for me?
Daniel: Uh... you're brother took it, but... don't worry, I can get you one.
Emma: I'm your date.
Daniel: I'm getting you one; I'll get you one.
(Gina motions to the other side of the room as she drinks from her cup. Emma turns around to see Sarah entering with Carl.)
Carl: Hey, what's up, guys?
(Sarah rolls her eyes and waves at the camera.)
Emma: Hey! Looks like the most, uh, controversial, most talked about couple of prom has finally arrived. (Sarah glares at Carl as he rolls up his sleeves.) What's up?
Sarah: Just, um, don't say anything about Carl's outfit. I'm humiliated.
Emma: I kind of don't have to, it pretty much speaks for itself... (Pans over Carl.)
Sarah: Emma, emma... S-st--
Emma: I mean, look at-- (Focuses on Carl's fanny pack.) Is that, like--
Emma: --a fanny pack? What? (Turns to Sarah.)
Carl: Hey, Emma. (Emma turns back to Carl.) Look, it's so good to see you.
Emma: Um... (Carl awkwardly hugs Emma.) Yeah, o- Oh! Okay, thank you.
(Emma makes a face at the camera as Carl lets her go.)
Carl: Oh, it's alright. Hey, well, uh...
Carl: Look, I really appreciate you inviting me. I mean, after... everything that, you know, happened and all.
Emma: Well, yeah, I mean, you know, um... Uh, Sarah wanted you to come, so uh... that was pretty much good enough for us. (Laughs awkwardly.) Great. Oh, okay, alright. I think... (Sarah pulls Carl away and Emma turns the camera on herself.) He seems a little edgy. Well, I guess I really can't blame him, though.
(Emma turns. Fade to a close up of the disco light ball. Fade to Carl dancing near the fireplace as Sarah and Jonas watch. Sarah turns to the camera as Carl dances from side to side. Jennie and Jonas laugh as they watch. Carl begins to take off his jacket. Cut to Carl stradling the jacket and moving it between his legs.)
Sarah: Carl! Carl... Um... Why don't we go get punch?
(Carl dances around wildly as Sarah backs away.)
Carl: Don't talk.
(Gina laughs as Carl continues to dance around the room.)
Emma: Okay, is that with jazz hands?
(Cut to Carl dancing with Sarah, swinging her around.)
Daniel: (Laughing.) Please tell me you're recording this! Because I'm gonna watch it daily.
(Gina laughs as Carl throws Sarah around, attempting to dance with her. Cut to Jennie and Jonas watching. Carl picks Sarah up with both arms.)
Sarah: Oh my god! Okay! Thank you! Um...
(Cut to Jennie with her arms around Jonas as he holds her flip cam. He lowers it as her phone rings. Emma pans to Jennie's phone.)
Emma: Jennie! Jennie, your phone is ringing.
(Jennie looks at the camera and then walks over. Jonas throws his hands up as she leaves. Cut to Jennie and Jonas leaning over her phone in the hallway.)
Jonas: This is unbelieveable.
Emma: Who was that text from?
Jennie: Thompson. They're back.
Emma: Who's back?
Jennie: Salinas and his staff. Apparently they ended the DC trip early. Thompson's back in LA and wanted to know if I was free for dinner. (Jonas rubs Jennie's back.)
Emma: Well, then where's Salinas?
Jonas: We don't know. I mean, he could be...
Jonas: He could be anywhere.
Daniel: Did you guys hear that?
(The camera whips around to see Daniel looking toward the front door.)
Emma: Hear what?
Daniel: Shh! Listen, listen. (Daniel walks down a flight of stairs toward the basement.) I could've sworn I heard something down in the basement. I mean it sounded like- like somebody walking around, or something. You didn't hear that?
Jonas: But if Salinas or any of his people are anywhere near here, we're splitting in like, five seconds flat, okay?
(Daniel opens the door to the basement. Jonas follows behind him. Cut to black.)
Jonas: What is it?
(The door closing is heard.)
Daniel: I don't know, man.
Jonas: Are you sure you heard something?
(Emma places the camera on a box in the dimly lit basement. She, Daniel, and Jonas search the basement.)
Daniel: Dude, I am sure.
Jonas: You sure?
Emma: Guys, there's nothing down here. Look, we're just paranoid, alright? Between Salinas's site and the text, he's just spooking us. Listen, he's doing a really good job. Obviously.
Daniel: No, what if he's not just spooking us? I'm saying, like...
Emma: No. You're nervous, I'm nervous, we're all nervous. Lets just go upstairs and have fun, okay?
Jonas: Okay, maybe--
Emma: It's fine.
(The group heads back upstairs, leaving the camera behind.)
Jonas: --maybe you're right, but regardless, I'm going to go outside and check around the cabin and the we're gonna check all the rooms again, just to be safe.
Jonas: Come on.
Daniel: I'm telling you, man, you're not going to see nothing. I'm serious.
(Daniel and Jonas continue talking as they ascend the stairs. A figure in jeans and boots is seen walking in the basement, walking into a closet.)
Emma: Wait, guys! Hang on, I forgot my camera.
(Emma picks up the camera and walks back to the staircase, where Daniel and Jonas are waiting.)
Daniel: Come on.
(Cut to Gina dancing.)
Emma: Work it! (Gina giggles.) Cover girl! All right, show me some Carl.
Gina: (Laughs.) Oh, no!
Emma: (Laughs.) Yeah, do it!
Gina: Okay. (Slides from side to side, immitating Carl's dance from earlier.)
Emma: (Laughs.) Nice! Don't forget the jazz hands!
Gina: Oh my gosh. (Spreads her fingers and continues dancing.)
Emma: There you go, there's the Carl! (Both laugh as Gina stops.)Awesome.
Gina: Okay, okay, I wanna see the Jonas, come on!
(Gina takes the camera and turns it on Emma.)
Emma: Ugh! Okay. (Dances quickly, similar to the Hammer Dance.)
Gina: Oh-- (cracks up) --my gosh! I can totally see the family resemblance!
(Emma does the robot. Gina and Emma laugh.)
Emma: All right, let's see some Daniel action.
Gina: Oh my gosh.
Emma: Come on.
Gina: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
(Gina turns the camera on herself, puts on her sunglasses, and imitates Daniel's Safety Dance.)
Emma: Nice! You know, that's actually better than Daniel's... (Gina stops, cracking up.)
Gina: Take it back, take it back!
Emma: Alright, alright...
(Emma takes the camera, laughing. She turns it back to Gina as she raises her sunglasses and looks to the porch.)
Gina: What's going on out there?
Emma: What? I don't know. (Pans to the porch where Daniel, Jennie, Jonas, and Sarah are talking.) Here, I'll check it out.
(Emma walks to the porch and sets her camera on a table. Cut to black. Cut to Emma screaming as an arm falls to the ground near the couch.)
Emma: How could this happen?!
(Cut to black. Cut to Emma running down a flight of stairs outside, still wearing her prom dress. She stops near the bottom of the stairs and talks to the camera.)
(Emma looks at her surroundings as she catches her breath.)
Listen, I had no idea somebody was in the house until I saw that footage. If anybody is still out there, if anybody survived, please contact the community right away. Let us know that you're safe. (Glances off-camera.) Let us know that- some-- what happened. Everybody go to lg15.com. Please. This isn't over. (Glances off-camera.) It can't be.
(Emma shakes her head and peers around a corner. Cut to the Watcher descending a nearby flight of stairs.)
Emma: Oh, God.
