Devon is a large county in South West England, approximately 100 miles from London. Kate and Charlie take a trip to Devon to get away from London after the shooting incident at the art exhibition. Since the band they met on the beach lists Ivybridge - a town in the South Hams area - as their hometown, it can be assumed Kate and Charlie are on the south coast of Devon.
