Kate's first actual videoblog takes place in her flat, which is located in Shoreditch, East London, England. Charlie is not only Kate's flatmate, but also her best friend, who presumably introduced Kate to her ex-boyfriend, Tariq.
Since Kate left, Charlie was evicted.
