(The camera pans along a white wall. A sign shows that it is a men's restroom. Daniel enters. Cut to Daniel in front of what appears to be bathroom tiles.)
Daniel: I don't know where to start. The Order; somehow they figured out where we were, and we all got separated. Some sort of smoke bomb went off and they swooped in like vultures. I'm not exactly sure what happened... or who made it out. But I'm heading back to LA. I've been running for about a day now, and maybe I'm getting paranoid but... I swear there's a Shadow following me. And all I have to go on is this footage I filmed earlier.
(Fade to several blurred shots of disco lights. Cut to Daniel walking through the cabin in an white suit.)
Daniel: Good evening, ladies and gents, and welcome to the 2008 LG15 Prom! Or should I say, the 1988? (Puts on a pair of striped sunglasses.) Oh, yeah! We have an awesome playlist for you today, including Duran Duran, Flock of Seagulls, and the one and only Men at Work. (Sings.) "I come from a land down under"... Yeah, you know the song. Don't play like you don't.
Check it out. (Turns the camera to the fireplace showing a banner reading "WELCOME TO OUR TOTALLY RAD PROM" covered in balloons.) We made banners, we've got balloons, we've got lights. And if you look out here... (Pans to the porch, where there is a punch bowl and deck furniture.) We've got the ambiance in the outdoors. Full of romance. (Turns the camera on himself.) It's awesome. Oh, check this out.
(Zooms in to a nearby table on which is a picture of the girls shopping and three flip cameras Daniel grabs one.)
Just so you all don't feel left out, I went out and bought everyone... (Turns the camera on himself, holding up the camera.) ...brand new flip cams. So we can all film tonight. I've got one, Emma's got one... It's gonna be a lot of fun. Alright. Let's go get some punch, huh?
(Daniel goes out on the porch. Emma yells at him from inside the cabin.)
Emma: Daniel, will you get in here? Your dates are ready to dance!
Daniel: Oh no. Looks like I gotta bust the move. Let's do it.
(Cut to a table with a bowl of M&Ms and various '80s accessories. Daniel takes and M&M and eats it. He pans to Emma and Gina as they dance, showing their feet. He pans up to Jennie and Jonas dancing. He pans back to Gina and pans down, showing her outfit. She and Emma dance.)
Emma: Check this out, this is the running man.
Daniel: Whoah!
Emma: That's right, I practiced that.
(Daniel pans to Sarah and Carl sitting on the couch. Carl leans in to Sarah, smiling at the camera. Sarah rolls her eyes. Daniel pans back to Gina. She dances as Daniel slowly backs away.)
Gina: Um, excuse me, where do you think you're going?
Daniel: Um... Well, I have Bandanya which means I can't dance for more than 3 songs in a row, so...
Gina: Okay.
Daniel: Bye-bye!
Emma: No-no-no-no-no! (Takes off her sunglasses.) Excuse me! You're supposed to show us your Safety Dance. Yeah.
Gina: Yeah, let's see it!
Emma: Now!
Gina: Let's see it! Come on!
(Daniel ducks into the frame and dances. Everyone laughs.)
Emma: Alright. Okay, you are too good at that.
Daniel: Whoo!
Jonas: Yeah! (Daniel turns the camera toward Jonas and Jennie.) That's what I'm talking about. (Claps.)
(Cut to the disco light ball. Jonas does the robot)
Daniel: Dude, who knew you were such a dancer, J?
(Everyone laughs.)
Jennie: That's my man!
(Jonas continues dancing and Jennie starts dancing close to him. Daniel pans to Sarah on the porch.)
Daniel: Let's not get freaky!
Gina: No way!
(Everyone laughs as Sarah secretly pours alcohol from a flask into the punch bowl.)
Daniel: Oh. Now why does that not surprise me?
(Sarah walks slowly away from the punch bowl, licking her fingers, and motions for Daniel to keep quiet. Emma jumps in front of the camera.)
Emma: Hmm, interesting! You know, I wonder what makes you more thirsty: the punch... or Sarah?
Daniel: Um, how 'bout neither? Besides, I've already got the best-looking prom dates!
Jonas: Daniel!
(Emma squeaks as Daniel pans to Jennie and Jonas in the kitchen.)
Daniel: Dude, I wasn't- I wasn't hitting on her, I promise.
Jonas: No. Not tha- No, no. Not that. Come here, you need to check this out.
(Daniel walks into the kitchen, where Jennie and Jonas are hovering over her laptop.)
Jonas: There's been an update on Salinas's site.
Daniel: Why are you still checking it?
Jennie: He just gave a speech.
Jonas: Yeah, and after his speech, he thanked The Armenian Americans of Glendale for tonight's donation.
Emma: "Tonight's donation"? What does that mean? That sounds kind of weird. (Leans over Jennie.)
Jennie: The Armenian Americans of Glendale... that's TAAG. Is he talking about us?
Daniel: It could be, but there's no way he could know where we are, uh... We covered our tracks. And you said he's out of town, fundraising... In DC, right?
Jennie: Yeah, that's what Thompson said on his last voicemail.
Jonas: Okay, listen. I don't want this to ruin our night or anything, but I think we should be really careful here. Alright, man? I'm-I'm serious.
Daniel: Alright. I'll tell Sarah.
(Cut to Daniel with his hand on Sarah's waist on the porch. She is holding a white flip cam.)
Sarah: So these things are pretty cool.
Daniel: I know, right? It's even smaller than the other one they have.
Sarah: So... why are you filming me? (Grins.)
Daniel: 'Cause, um... (Rubs Sarah's cheek.) I just wanna show the world how beautiful you are.
Sarah: Wow... You. Being all flirty and bold... You do know I'm Carl's date, right?
Daniel: Sure, but... I'm stealing his date.
(A rustling noise is heard and Daniel looks over the edge of the porch.)
Daniel: Must have been, like, an animal or something.
Sarah: Yeah, or Jason Voorhees.
Emma: (Jumping from behind Daniel.) GOTCHA!
(Emma and Sarah laugh as Emma plays with two branches of leaves.)
Daniel: That was not funny.
Sarah: Oh-ho, it was kinda funny.
Emma: Yeah, it was.
(Emma turns to leave, laughing. Cut to Sarah and Carl in front of the fireplace. Sarah is holding an upside-down cup, which she has apparently spilled on him.)
Sarah: Oh my god, I'm sorry. Carl, I'm so- (Carl pushes Sarah away.)
Daniel: Hey, is everything okay?
(Carl puts his arm out which reveals a cell phone.)
Carl: Yeah, I was just.. trying to send an e-mail. Alright, look, I'm sorry if I u-upset you, okay, Sarah.
Daniel: Listen, there are towels in the bathroom.
Carl: I'll be right back. Alright.
(Carl leaves behind Sarah to go to the bathroom. She glares as he leaves.)
Daniel: Are you okay?
Sarah: Yeah. (Shakes her head.) Maybe... Maybe I shouldn't have even asked him to come here. Do, uh... you wanna get some punch with me?
(Cut to Sarah and Daniel making out passionately. Daniel lifts Sarah on to the bed, turning the camera to look into the hallway. Carl opens the front door as Lucy points her gun into the room. Carl exits and Lucy follows, closing the door behind her. Cut to Daniel in the bathroom.)
Daniel: Uh, yeah, Sarah... I'm sorry. Uh, the camera was still recording, I ju- I had to upload it. But anyways... so they stormed the cabin and we all scattered. And I made it out to the woods, and I waited there until dawn. And when I came back, the smoke was gone, no one was there, and I mean, it looked like nobody had been there in the first place. And that's when I saw the Shadow. And I just turned and I r-
(A noise is heard off-camera. Daniel turns toward it.)
Daniel: I ran. (Turns to the camera.) Anyways... I tried calling everybody else, but-but nobody's answering. And I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna have battery left for, but I need to keep moving. So can anybody out there please try to get in contact with them on LG15.com? I need to see their footage. I need to figure out what happened.
(Running footsteps are heard as Daniel lowers the camera.)
Daniel: Shit.
Notes
- Despite Daniel listing several popular 80's artists, none of them are actually played throughout the four-part Prom videos.
- This video makes multiple references to the group being nicknamed TAAG, which is usually taboo, since it was a term coined by ARG character, Tachyon, who is no longer a part of the series. The reference is especially interesting because it contains the word "Glendale" in it, which may or may not be a veiled reference to Tachyon's creator, Glenn Rubenstein.
- Jason Voorhees, whom Sarah mentions as a possible suspect for the noise heard on the porch, is the main character from the Friday the 13th film series.
- The city of Glendale, California is widely known around the Los Angeles area for having a very large Armenian population.
- On the Stickam chat with Amanda Goodfried on January 26th 2009, it was mentioned that all the Prom videos were filmed at one of Amanda's relative's houses by Big Bear lake.
