Prom: It's To Die For - Part 1 is the four-hundred ninety-third video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the eighty-third video of season three.

Transcript

(The camera pans along a white wall. A sign shows that it is a mens' restroom. Daniel enters. Cut to Daniel in front of what appears to be bathroom tiles.)

Daniel: I don't know where to start. The Order; somehow they figured out where we were, and we all got separated. Some sort of smoke bomb went off and they swooped in like vultures. I'm not exactly sure what happened... or who made it out. But I'm heading back to LA. I've been running for about a day now. Maybe I'm getting paranoid but... I swear there's a Shadow following me. And all I have to go on is this footage I filmed earlier.

(Fade to a lot of lights, which can be made out as disco balls. Cut to another clip of the disco balls. Cut to Daniel walking through the Big Bear cabin in an 80's suit.)

Daniel: Good evening, ladies and gents, and welcome to the 2008 LG15 Prom! Or should I say, the 1988 prom?

(Daniel puts on abnormally large red sunglasses.)

Daniel: Oh, yeah! We have an awesome playlist for you today, including Duran Duran, Flock of Seagulls, and the one and only Men at Work.

(Daniel starts singing a Men at Work song.)

Daniel: I come from a land down unda...

(Daniel starts talking again.)

Daniel: Yeah, you know the song. Don't play like you don't. Check it out.

(Daniel turns the camera to face the decor of the cabin. There is a banner that says "Welcome To Our Totally Rad Prom," and there is a lot of balloons everywhere.)

Daniel: We made banners, we've got balloons, we've got lights... And if you look out here...

(Pan to the cabin's balcony, where there is a bowl of punch on a table and several chairs.)

Daniel: We've got the ambience. Yeah. The outdoor is full of romance.

(Daniel turns the camera back to himself.)

Daniel: It's awesome. Oh, check this out.

(Daniel turns the camera to film a table. On the table is a picture of Emma, Gina, and Jennie in 80's dresses. The picture has a zebra-patterned frame, and yet another pink frame. Also on the table are 3 Flip Cameras. Daniel grabs a white one.)

Daniel: Just so you don't all feel left out, I went out and bought everyone...

(Daniel turns the camera to himself. He is holding up the Flip Camera.)

Daniel: ...brand new Flip Cameras. So we can all film tonight. I've got one, Emma's got one... It's gonna be a lot of fun. Alright... Let's go get some punch, huh?

(Daniel goes out on the balcony.)

Jennie: (off-camera, from inside the cabin) Daniel, will you get in here? Your dates are ready to dance!

Daniel: (to himself) Oh no. Looks like I gotta bust the move. Let's do it.

(Cut to everyone dancing in the cabin. Daniel is filming. Daniel takes an M&M out of a bowl on a table and eats it. He walks over to Emma and Gina. Jennie and Jonas are dancing nearby, and Sarah and Carl are sitting on the couch. He films Emma and Gina's red shoes. After awhile of filming everyone dancing, Daniel starts to back away.)

Gina: Um, excuse me, where do you think you're going?

Daniel: Um, well, I have (inaudible) which means I can't dance for more than 3 songs in a row, so...

Gina: Okay.

Emma: (taking off her pink sunglasses) No no no, you're supposed to show us your Safety Dance!

Gina: Uh, yeah, let's see it!

Emma: Now!

Gina: Let's see it!

(Daniel appears in the frame, dancing crazily. Emma and Gina laugh.)

Jonas: (clapping) Yeah! That's what I'm talking about.

(Cut to Jonas doing the robot.)

Daniel: Dude, who knew you were such a dancer?

(Everyone is laughing. Sarah is seen out on the balcony pouring alcohol into the punch.)

Daniel: Now why does that not surprise me?

(Emma appears in front of Daniel.)

Emma: Hmm, interesting! You know, I wonder what makes you more thirsty: the punch.. or Sarah?

Daniel: Um, how 'bout neither? I've already got the best two prom dates!

Jonas: (from in the kitchen area) Daniel!

Daniel: I wasn't into her, I sw-

Jonas: No.. it's not.. no, no, no. Come here, you gotta check this out.

(Daniel walks over to the kitchen area where Jennie and Jonas are. They are standing around a laptop. Edward Salinas is seen on the laptop.)

Jonas: There's been an update on Salinas's site.

Daniel: Why are you still checking it?

Jennie: He just gave a speech.

Jonas: Yeah, and after his speech, he thanked the Armenian Americans of Glendale for tonight's donation.

Emma: Tonight's donation? What does that mean?

Jennie: Armenian Americans of Glendale... that's TAAG. Is he talking about us?

Daniel: It could be, but there's no way he could know where we are. We covered our tracks. And you said he's out of town, fundraising, in DC, right?

Jennie: Yeah, that's what Thompson said on his last voicemail.

Jonas: Okay, listen. I don't want this to ruin our night or anything but I think we should be really careful. This sounds series.

Daniel: Alright. Let's tell Sarah.

(Daniel turns around and Sarah is behind him, holding her Flip Camera.)

Sarah: So these things are pretty cool.

Daniel: I know, right? It's even smarter than the other one they have.

Sarah: (smiling) Mmhmm. So... why are you filming me?

Daniel: (reaching behind Sarah's neck) 'Cause, um... I just wanna show the world how beautiful you are.

Sarah: Wow... you, being all flirty and bold! You do know I'm Carl's date, right?

Daniel: Sure, but... I'm stealing his date.

(A noise is heard. The camera pans to the edge of the balcony.)

Daniel: Musta been like an animal or something.

Sarah: Yeah, or (inaudible).

Emma: (laughing) GOTCHA!!

(Sarah, Daniel, and Emma are laughing. Emma is seen carrying her Flip Camera and whirls around a branch.)

Daniel: That was not funny.

Sarah: Hah, it was kinda funny.

Emma: Yeah, it was.

(Emma leaves and goes back into the cabin. Cut to Sarah and Carl in front of the fireplace. Sarah is attempting to get close to him but he is pushing her away.)

Sarah: Carl, I'm sor- Carl, I'm sorry.

Daniel: Hey, is everything okay?

(Carl puts his arm out which reveals a cell phone.)

Carl: Yeah, I was just.. trying to send an e-mail. I'm sorry if I... upset you, Sarah. Okay?

Daniel: Listen, there are towels in the bathroom.

Carl: ...I'll be right back.

Daniel: Okay.

(Carl leaves and goes in the direction of the bathroom.)

Daniel: (to Sarah) You okay?

Sarah: Yeah... Maybe... maybe I shouldn't have asked him to come here. Do, uh.. you wanna get some punch with me?

(Cut to Sarah and Daniel making out passionately in an unidentified room in the cabin. Daniel turns the camera a little bit on accident, and the hallway is shown. Carl comes through the hallway and opens the door. He exits and Lucy follows him, holding up a gun on her way out. Lucy closes the door. Cut back to Daniel talking in front of what appears to be bathroom tiles.)

Daniel: Uh, yeah, Sarah... I'm sorry. The camera was still recording, I just.. I had to upload it. But anyways... Someone stormed the cabin and we all scattered. And I made it out to the woods and I waited there until dawn. And when I came back, the smoke was gone, no one was there.. and I mean, it looked like no one had been there in the first place. And that's when I saw the Shadow. And I just turned and I r-

(A noise is heard off-camera. Daniel turns but decides it's nothing.)

Daniel: I ran. Anyways... I tried calling everybody else but nobody is answering. And I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna have battery left for, but I need to keep moving. So can anybody out there please try to get in contact with them on LG15.com? I need to see their footage. I need to figure out what happened.

(Footsteps are heard.)

Daniel: Shit.

• This video makes multiple references to the group being nicknamed TAAG, which is usually taboo, since it was a term coined by ARG character, Tachyon, who is no longer a part of the series.
