The series was first announced on April 16, 2007, began filming on July 9 and the first video, Fight and Flight, was released on July 16, 2007. The show was hosted on the social-networking site Bebo.
KateModern was set in London. The original premise revolved around an art student, Kate, and her friends Charlie, Tariq and Gavin. Similar to Bree in lonelygirl15, Kate was revealed to be trait positive and was hunted by the Order. Kate was murdered in January 2008 and in April 2008, Terrence was revealed to have murdered her.
