Chapter 1: A Call to Arms is the sixth video in the lonelygirl15 video series. It is also the video for the first chapter in the series. It should not be confused with the video Call to Arms.
Transcript
(An edited clip of LG15: The Resistance (Season 1 Trailer) plays. The end of the video has been altered as the logos for The Crowley Collection and LifesBlood Labs appear on screen. Cut to the Hymn of None logo.)
Voice: We are the Hymn of None.
(Images of Maggie flash by as the logo fades. Cut to a grid of videos. Most of them are of Maggie and doctors from LifesBlood Labs security cameras, but there are clips of Bree, Kate, Gina, Emma, Jonas, Nadia, Daniel, Charlie, and Steve. It gradually zooms into a center video of Maggie.)
Voice: The fountain of youth is real, and it's in the blood of dozens of girls across the world. Their secret is known by few, yet desired by all. They are pawns in the most dangerous of games. We are the Resistance. Our mission is to find these girls, and protect them from those who want to use them, and destroy them. And we document what happens to them, so that their stories live on. This is the story of one of those girls. We are The Resistance. We will not be stopped.
(Static effect to a picture of the LG15: The Resistance logo. Static effect to a video of Maggie in a hospital bed. Also shown are several other clips of Maggie and doctors.)
Maggie: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. She lived in a magical place filled with wonders. And everyday she was visited by lots of people. They made sure she was healthy and strong, making notes in their little books, recording every minute detail. Every fluctuation. For they knew how special this girl was. And that inside of her, there was something even more special. Her blood. But the girl, she wanted nothing more than to escape from her castle. So everyday she'd watch, and wait, hoping for her chance. Hoping for someone to save her.
(Static effect to Call to Arms. In the bottom right are the words "Monday; September 15, 2008; Hymn of None". Fade to black. Static effect to Jonas in Last Words. In the bottom right are the words "Tuesday; September 16, 2008; Jonas". Static effect to more clips of Maggie.)
Maggie: And so in every day of the girl's life, from the day she was stolen from her parents, and delivered to the hands of the king,
(A clip of Dr. Leonard J. Alderman is flashed. More clips of Maggie are shown.)
Maggie: who truly learned to treasure her for her specialness, in spite of her protest.
(Static effect to Dr. Alderman in One Evil with Many Faces. In the bottom right are the words "Wednesday; September 17, 2008; Hymn of None". Static effect back to more clips of Maggie.)
Maggie: So desired was the princess, that sometimes she had to perform two or three times a day. She wished she didn't have to, but inside she knew she had no choice. But still, she faced the terrible things with a strong will, and a good heart.
(Static effect to Sarah in Cheer Me Up!. In the bottom right are the words "Thursday; September 18, 2008; Sarah". Static effect back to more clips of Maggie.)
Maggie: Though she felt alone, she wasn't. Across all of the world, there were dozens, hundreds more, just like her. But for all of these girls, through all of their suffering, there was only one man who could save them. One man with a power to change how this evil king and all of the other evil kings behaved. But he thought he could hide away, burrowing his head in the sand. That only works for so long. Isn't that right, Jonas?
(Static effect to Split. In the bottom right are the words "Friday; September 19, 2008; Hymn of None". Static effect back to more clips of Maggie and Beaumont.)
Maggie: And so in every day of the princess's life, her humanity stripped away, her life lived at someone else's whim. That all changed when she met a boy named Beaumont. He showed her kindness, compassion, love. But that is a story for another day.
(Static effect to a picture of the LG15: The Resistance logo, and below it, the text "www.LG15.com".)
