Becki Kregoski is the actress who plays the role of Taylor in the lonelygirl15 webseries.
Born in Barrington, Illinois, Becki lived in Colorado as a kid, and moved to California for college. She studied at UCSB for her freshman year before heading to LA to act full time. Her apartment in LA had no television, so Becki and her roommate could only get their entertainment from YouTube at that time. They watched a few lonelygirl15 videos when they were still "real" because they were on the front page of the site with the most views. A few weeks later, the Creators were revealed on the news, and then, a week after that, Becki saw the lonelygirl15 audition notice online and got called in. She waited in a line of 400 people for about two hours, considered leaving, then realized that she had nothing better to do that day, so she decided to stick it out. "I guess that was a good decision on my part :)" says Becki.
Although the Creators liked Becki, they did not use her until Taylor made her debut in April 2007. During the "in-between" time, Becki was cast in the Paula DeAnda music video "Walk Away" (watch on youtube) as one of DeAnda's friends. A few months later, she got roles in the television shows "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Help Me Help You." She then worked for Nickelodian's "Unfabulous" as a stand-in, a double, and a cameo actor. Shortly thereafter, she served as a stand-in for episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Medium."
Since appearing as Taylor, Becki has worked on other projects. These include her role as the lead character in the short film "Misperpetual Motion," which will premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2008. She also worked on another festival short, "The Relationship Theorem," in which she played the best friend of the lead. This short will be shown at the Kids First film festival.
Despite her busy schedule, Becki has found time to help others. While living in Colorado as a kid, she volunteered at a riding center for disabled children and adults. She is going to start volunteering at another one in California within the next month (December 2007).
