Kate and Charlie's flat is a major backdrop in the KateModern series. Kate's first actual videoblog takes place in her flat, which is located in Shoreditch, East London, England. Charlie is not only Kate's flatmate, but also her best friend, who presumably introduced Kate to her ex-boyfriend, Tariq.
Since Kate left, Charlie was evicted. Gavin then rerented the flat and asked Charlie to move in with him. It is now better known as Gavin and Charlie's flat.
