Kate and Charlie's flat was a major backdrop in the KateModern series. Kate's first actual videoblog takes place in her flat, which is located in Shoreditch, East London, England. Charlie is not only Kate's ex-flatmate, but also her ex-best friend, who presumably introduced Kate to her ex-boyfriend, Tariq.
Since Kate left, Charlie was evicted. Gavin then re-rented the flat and asked Charlie to move in with him. It soon became better known as Gavin and Charlie's flat.
Following the conclusion of season two, Gavin is no longer living in the flat. Charlie quickly found a new roommate named Kyle. Due the the constant changing of inhabitants in the flat, it is best known as Charlie's flat. Charlie, however, no longer lives in the flat, after being evicted due to Kyle's irresponsible behaviour. She, Lauren, and Lee now live in the new flat.
